I didn’t answer the phone, and after seeing these comments, I’m relieved I didn’t. Looks like they’ll say anything just to try and get your details. One moment they're pretending to do a survey, the next they're claiming to be from your bank. Honestly, it’s about time someone cracked down on these muppets.

Got a call about some survey on water usage at my place. It dragged on way too long so I just told him off and ended the call. Before I hung up, he switched topics from water to gas, electric, then asked if I was working and what job I do. That felt a bit much for me. I usually don't bother with these surveys and now I regret not ending it straight away.

It seems they’re using a multitude of aliases. I just received a call from someone named Daniel, who claimed to be with an outfit called Perspective. I received a call from a market researcher associated with BDRC, who is located in London. They inquired about my Santander Business account. I found the conversation to be quite straightforward; the caller was courteous, posed only pertinent questions related to customer satisfaction, and refrained from prying into any personal information or account specifics. It didn’t feel like spam or a scam at all.

It seems to me that this number might be linked to 020 8074 3788, 020 8078 1145, and also 020 3608 0173. I’m not familiar with anyone having a London area code, so I simply ignore it whenever it calls. The odd thing is, every time I block a number, they seem to just ring me from a different one. I can't help but ponder...perhaps I should just pick up the call, remain silent, and continue enjoying my television show. Maybe that would send a clear signal!

Got a call from someone called Adam, only caught bits like 'taskforce' and asking for the business owner by name. I told him they weren’t in, asked if I could take a message. He said it was about our card terminal. Told him we don’t use one. Then he said he was doing a survey, so I repeated we don’t have card machines. He stayed polite and said thanks, then hung up. I reckon it’s a bit dodgy, likely a con of some kind.

They rang me up three times over a couple of days, and each time I picked up, they just ended the call straight away.

A polite man called, saying he was with the business finance roundtable and wanted to do some research about how banks are helping SMEs. He asked if I had five minutes to chat about my bank’s service. I said no, and he said he'd ring back next week if that was alright. I couldn't promise when I'd be free, so I said okay. I don’t usually talk to anyone until I’ve looked into the company first, but I couldn’t find any website for them, so I googled their number. Going to block that number now.

I picked up and there was nobody actually speaking, but in the background you could hear loads of people chatting really loud like it was some call centre.

Not sure who it was, but they wanted to speak to the finance manager of some company, though she didn’t say which one. When I asked back, she just ignored it and went straight to asking who I’m voting for.

Cheers to this website! I've stopped answering those pesky calls altogether. With caller ID, I'm able to verify the number beforehand. Now, if it’s one of those annoying callers, I just leave it be!

The call disconnected as soon as I picked up.

Somebody I don't know rang me but it went straight to voicemail and they didn’t say anything. Kinda fishy if you ask me. I’ve just blocked the number now.

Got a call on my landline from an unknown number. Some rude young woman claimed she was from the "Financial" dept in Yeovil. I mentioned the telephone preference service and she just got more annoyed!

This chap purported to be from Heineken, insisting he was conducting a quick survey. Given that I often deal with their products, I thought the questions might be pertinent. However, it quickly became evident that there were far too many inquiries, and I ultimately decided to disconnect, particularly since he seemed rather fixated on finishing the survey. I can't shake the feeling that it was all a bit dodgy. Fingers crossed I won’t end up with any unexpected charges on my bill from that call!

Got two calls on 24/10/16, one at around 4pm and another at 7pm on my landline. I usually don’t pick up and let it go to voicemail. Since there was no message left, I’m guessing it’s not anyone I know, so I just ignore them.

They didn’t pick up at all. Just left it hanging.

Got a follow-up call from some market research lot working for my stockbroker, collecting customer feedback. It dragged on way more than I expected.

I keep receiving calls from a market research company claiming to be working for the government. I've made it clear that I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service, yet they persist in calling me ceaselessly. On top of that, I'm bombarded with a barrage of calls from firms related to "car accidents," which is quite puzzling since I’ve never been involved in any. My advice? Just steer clear and don’t respond to these nuisance callers.

On the 11th of August, just after 5.52 in the evening, I got an unusual call inquiring about some business finance particulars. I've saved the number: 02077137226. The gentleman who spoke seemed quite articulate.

A woman who said she was with the Bank of Scotland reached out to me, claiming to discuss a problem linked to my banking. However, the peculiar thing is, I’m not actually a customer there! Just as I was about to probe further, she abruptly ended the call. Quite the odd experience, I must say!

Got a call saying it was from Halifax bank doing some market research about investments adverts. I rang the bank afterwards and they had no idea about it. Ended the call without giving them any info. Proper annoying and feels like harassment.

The phone went off, and the moment I answered with a "Hello," those muppets hung up on me! Quite infuriating, to say the least! 😡

It was just one of those market research calls, best to just ignore them.

I was taken aback when they mentioned both my name and the firm I'm associated with. It had the feel of some market research shenanigan. However, the interrogation about my business felt excessive. The woman on the line, bless her, was droning on in a rather tedious manner, yet seemed more intent on extracting any info I might inadvertently offer. Quite mad, really! To be honest, I found it rather amusing. It wasn’t until about fourteen minutes into the chat that the penny dropped, and I figured out who she was. What a cheeky experience! The call came through at 7:29 in the evening, just for the record.
