Someone rang me saying they were with 02, but it was obviously a dodgy scam.

They said they were calling from 02, but the moment I questioned if they were really from 02 since I have a business contract with them, they just cut me off without even saying goodbye or sorry.

I got a call from someone saying they were with ‘auto mobile’, claiming they could knock 40% off my bill and that I wouldn’t need to lift a finger. When I asked what exactly they’d do or how it worked, they couldn’t really explain and seemed to get annoyed when I kept asking. Eventually, they just said ‘right, bye’ and ended the call.

I reckon it’s one of those Indian call centres! They keep switching up their phone numbers all the time, so it’s useless trying to block them since they just call from a new number every time.

They claimed to be from my mobile provider and kept pushing me to grab an iPhone 12 deal for thirty quid a month. Was proper baffled cos they kept talking about 'cents' instead of pounds, like they weren’t even local. You could hear what sounded like a call centre going on in the background - total scam if you ask me.

Got a call from this number really early today. I was wondering what on earth they could want at that ridiculous hour, my lad doesn’t even manage to wake me up that early!

I’m always wary of numbers that call but don’t bother leaving a voicemail. Usually makes me think it’s probably a scam or some telemarketer trying to push stuff. I don’t bother calling back if there’s no message, I’d just want to know exactly who’s trying to get in touch and the reason for the call.
