11 yearsI've had a couple of calls from this number, claiming to be from BT, insisting there's an issue with my computer. When I mentioned that I'd prefer to call back, they abruptly hung up. Seems quite clear they're fishing for personal computer info or attempting to pull a fast one on me!BT11 yearsI received a call from what was clearly a scammer, attempting to convince me that my computer was infested with a virus. I decided to humour him for a bit, letting him drone on about his nonsense. It was evident to me from the outset that this was a con job. After he wasted a good five minutes instructing me on which buttons to press on my so-called 'infected' machine (as if I would actually follow those instructions!), I finally told him I recognised it for the scam that it was. He reacted with the utmost rudeness, hurling a barrage of foul language my way and making some rather unpleasant remarks. A truly repugnant individual! I urge everyone to steer clear of this type of scam; it's a serious matter that could easily trap those who aren't aware.11 yearsReceived a quick 'hello' before the line went dead. When I tried to return the call, it informed me that the number was 'not recognised'. Quite baffling!Submit Your Own Report (020 7701 2298)
