I was waiting for the doctor to ring me back, and when my phone rang I picked up, but there was nothing there, just silence. I tried to say something for about 15 seconds until I hung up just as I heard someone trying to talk. Normally I wouldn’t bother calling the number back, but thinking it might be the doctor, I gave it a ring. To my surprise, it told me the number wasn’t recognised. I’m not sure whether this was some kind of scam or not, but it felt suspicious, especially as I live in North Wales and wouldn’t expect a call from a doctors’ triage team in London. If it’s a fake call, that could be really risky for anyone who needs urgent medical help.
