Someone said they was Natwest but I called Natwest using the official number from their site and they told me that 02076720035 aint on their system. They said just to ignore any calls from that number and if they call again, just ring them back.

I had a caller claiming to be from the Royal Bank of Scotland, discussing the current cost of living issues. Chose not to continue with the conversation, though.

Got another call from this exact number. Banks dont ring you like this, so its defo some scam call from a call centre pretending to be from the bank. Ive reported it straight to action fraud now.

It’s a good idea to look through the posts on here from 01/03 before doing anything about calls from this number. ALWAYS verify with your bank if they get in touch. Don’t just trust, but don’t dismiss either.

Don’t ever ignore calls from your bank that come out of the blue. Always ring them back using the number on your bank card. Banks often use loads of different numbers to get in touch, so you can’t be 100% sure if it’s legit or not. It might be something serious about your account, or just a scammer trying to steal your money. Some scammers even leave false red alerts about genuine bank phone numbers on this site just to get people to block them or report them to '7726'. That makes your phone provider mark all calls from that number as potential scams across their whole network.
