I recently encountered a rather strange scenario involving a company that requested £50 to remove a charge from my card for studio services, including hair and makeup, as well as photography. They insisted that I should also bring a companion along, and mentioned that it would be £50 per person. Now, here’s the twist: they told us we’d won a prize that included this service for free, so why on earth would we need to pay upfront? They did suggest we could get our money back on the day, yet they refused to provide us with the address when we reached out for it over the phone. Quite frankly, these individuals are unfamiliar to us, and it all feels rather dodgy.

Earlier today, we received a call from a company claiming to be 'Make Up Studio'. They told us we'd won a competition we entered through Look magazine, and that we were entitled to a complimentary makeover. They asked us to call back when we had a clear idea of our availability. Is this some sort of scam? Can anyone tell me if this business is reputable? I'm quite anxious about it! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Sapphire Studios, co. uk. So here's the lowdown-it’s somewhat legit, but not quite. They reel you in for what they pitch as a 'complimentary' photoshoot, only to manoeuvre you into signing a contract that obliges you to fork out for the snaps. They claim their rates are decent, but if you reckon shelling out £80 to £100 a week for a year just to get a handful of images is a good deal, then be my guest! Their approach is slick yet sneaky. Honestly, it’s not worth your time-give it a miss!

I was experiencing the very same thing! We're rather unsure about the next steps, any suggestions, perhaps?

Hello there! We’re experiencing something remarkably similar on our end. Those individuals told us it was located on Liverpool Street. I'm feeling quite anxious, though, as we did share our banking details with them. Yikes! We've also had no luck locating their website up to this point. If you manage to track anything down, do keep us in the loop, yeah? Cheers!

Today, we received a rather intriguing phone call claiming that we had won a makeover and photoshoot. They seemed to know our name and address, which was a bit unsettling. The catch was that they insisted we pay a £39 deposit to secure our spot-supposedly in case we decided not to turn up. I’m left wondering if this is just a clever ruse to get hold of our banking information. What a curious situation!

Greetings! We received an eerily similar call earlier today regarding a £39 deposit, which struck us as a tad dubious. We refrained from sharing any bank details, but the young lady on the other end advised us to ring back whenever we’re ready to proceed with the deposit. So, we’re quite intrigued to know if anyone has actually seen any positive outcomes from this, or if it's simply a scam. Additionally, does anyone have a website for this lot? That could come in handy.

Hello all, I just wanted to share that something similar occurred to us recently. We ended up giving out our bank information after they said all the right things. Now I’m feeling quite anxious about it! They mentioned that their location is somewhere on Liverpool Street and even gave us a phone number to contact them if our ticket doesn’t arrive within a fortnight. It’s left me utterly perplexed! If anyone has more information or has experienced something like this too, I’d greatly appreciate your insights. I’m eager to get to the bottom of this. Thank you!

It seems rather suspicious when a company requests £50 from you in order to use your card for studio time, makeup, hairstyling, and photography. They even suggested that you bring someone along, claiming it was £50 each. To make matters worse, they previously mentioned that we had won a prize that was supposedly complimentary. So why on earth would we need to pay anything up front? They did mention that we could possibly get our money back on the actual day, but when it came to sharing the address over the phone, they were strangely uncooperative. I don’t recall dealing with these people before, which only raises my suspicions further!
