Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT tech support about my internet. I told her I’m with Virgin, not BT, but she insisted BT handles all broadband in the UK. She even gave me a London address for BT technical services. Then she started going on about an issue with my IP address and how to check it. When I asked her repeatedly to say what my IP address was, she just kept going with her spiel. Eventually, I said if she wouldn’t tell me, I’d hang up - and then the call just ended. Definitely a scam.
