I was in stitches when he introduced himself as Jam-ie! I tried to explain the proper way to say it, but he kept insisting that was his name and how his folks always called him. He was attempting to pitch a phone deal, but honestly, with a name like that, I just couldn’t take him seriously!

Got a call from this number on my phone, and after loads of spam on my home line, I was pretty annoyed to get it on my mobile too. Checked out the comments and saw a few mentioning CPW, so I gave CPW a ring and they phoned the number back to verify. Turns out it’s a scam. If this number pops up, best to just block it straight away.

Got a call from a London number, which I didn’t know since I’m up in the NW. I picked up but there was loads of background noise and they didn’t seem to hear me say hello. Then they suddenly said, “Hello, this is Carphone Warehouse.” Thing is, I’m not even a customer there! I just put the phone down straight away.

I usually don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise, so I just let this one ring out. Looking it up here, it seems loads of people have reported this number, so I've gone ahead and blocked it.

I’m pretty sure this is a scam. The guy claimed he was from Carphone Warehouse and was trying to sell me a new iPhone with unlimited texts, calls, and data for just £25 a month. Sounds way too good to be real if you ask me.
