Received a call from this number but chose not to pick up since I only answer calls from those I recognise. Did a bit of digging online and discovered it’s linked to scams, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

I received a call from this number earlier today. A woman introduced herself as Sharon, claiming to be a police officer. She stated there had been an issue regarding my identity being used by someone in Birmingham and asked for my name to check into my case. Curiously, she also inquired how long I had been residing in the UK. Then she requested my National Insurance Number. When I mentioned I didn't have it to hand, she suggested I check on my payslips or my mobile phone. I explained that I couldn't do that at the moment, and suddenly, she ended the call without any further ado. Quite odd, really!
