Got a call from someone pretending to be a cop, said they were working for four different government bodies. Totally felt like a scam to me.

Pretty sure it was a scam, so I just went ahead and blocked the number.

Just got a call from someone saying they're with HMRC, saying I owe money and that the cops would be here with an arrest warrant in an hour. It was really scary, first some bloke pretending to be from HMRC, then a woman came on saying she was a police officer. Very intimidating stuff.

Phoned me claiming to represent the City of London police, and mentioned some issue concerning cold calls linked to HMRC and tax evasion. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

Somebody rang me up pretending to be from HMRC, saying I was in debt to them and that if I didn’t sort it out, I’d be arrested. He went on about my driving licence being “blacklisted” (his words), my belongings getting taken, court appearances, and that instead of £3,998, I’d actually owe £19,500. The bloke got pretty pushy when I started asking questions and trying to get it all clear, since I had no idea why I was supposedly owing anything at all.

Got a text claiming it was from HMRC, saying I was gonna be arrested for unpaid taxes and that I had to call right away. Not sure how they got my info, but some stuff about it just didn’t sit right with me. I looked up the phone number on who.called{###} and it showed up as risky. Definitely scammers using different numbers to try and trick folks.

Got a text claiming to be from HMRC saying I'd be arrested over unpaid tax and that I had to call right away.
