Let’s put an end to these con artists!

It appears there’s a veritable swarm of con artists lurking around, utilising both landlines and mobile numbers to get in touch. I find myself inundated with two to three calls daily; hence, my answerphone is now on a constant loop, and I’ve completely abandoned answering my landline. It’s baffling why the telecom companies don’t just disconnect these rogue numbers! This nuisance truly escalated since I signed up with Sky. I reckon the government ought to establish a dedicated website for the public to report suspicious numbers, paired with some sort of regulatory body to take decisive action!

Received a call from this number, they rang twice urging me to switch on my computer so they could assist me in clearing some sort of infection from it. Then, they just disconnected. Quite odd, I must say!

I received a rather puzzling phone call at 2.07 in the afternoon from a bloke named David, who claimed he needed to block my computer. Trouble is, I don't even own one! After I mentioned this little detail, he abruptly ended the call. This isn't the first instance of such nonsense, and I'm thoroughly exasperated with these persistent nuisances. Does anyone have a way to put an end to these calls once and for all?

I recently received a rather dodgy call from this number. I wasted no time in informing the chap that he was up to no good. He responded with, "Oh, so you reckon this is a scam?" to which I firmly replied, "I’m absolutely sure it is!" He promptly ended the call after that. What a despicable character!

Received a call earlier claiming to be from BT's Broadband and Internet department, insisting that my system was infected with a virus. When I requested a callback number to confirm their legitimacy, they got rather aggressive and threatened to disconnect my broadband service. Quite the nerve, if you ask me!

Repeatedly called our phone, often just dead air followed by an automated ‘goodbye’. This occasion, I decided to respond. An Asian-accented woman quickly introduced herself, claiming to represent Microsoft support. I gave her a piece of my mind and warned them of potential legal consequences if the calls continued. She hung up straight away.

I've received yet another call from this number today. They claimed to be engineers from Microsoft and insisted I assist them in tackling some sort of fraud. They called me on my landline and mentioned having my 'unique number.' I didn't stick around for that, so I ended the conversation. The number is 01206 514218. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
