Just had a call this morning, 17th December 2020 at 10.35am, from 02075895232. It was one of those recorded messages trying to scam me with some Amazon Prime nonsense.

Got a call from someone with a thick Asian accent claiming to be from Sky, said my Internet was at risk of being hacked. He was super polite and asked me to look at the lights on my Sky hub. I asked him if he really worked for Sky, and he gave me a name and some sort of ID number. Feeling unsure, I ended the call and looked up the number - turns out, from the reviews online, he definitely wasn’t with Sky.

This number keeps ringing me like every other day. It’s some bloke from Asia claiming my BT internet is broken and offering to sort it out. Total scam if you ask me.

Got a call from someone pretending to be Microsoft. Total scam, don’t fall for it!

A man with an Asian accent called and claimed he was from BT. He said my broadband was at risk because my IP was visible to the public and anyone might get into it. He then tried to guide me on switching it from public to “private.” But when he asked me to install an app called Quick Support, I got suspicious as it seemed like he wanted to remotely control my device and see private info. So, I hung up and later checked the number on this site.

Got a robo call saying there were some dodgy transactions on my card for nearly £1700 (which is rubbish), and they wanted me to press 1 or 2 to approve or reject them. My bank never uses automated calls, plus they have my mobile saved to reach me directly. Being a bit wary, I just ended the call and googled the number straight after. Turns out it’s a scam, no doubt about it.

Somebody said they were from "Visa Security Services." I just replied with a confused "Yes?" and then "What?" before they suddenly ended the call.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent, his English was pretty rough and there was a lot of background noise like a call centre. He claimed he was from BT Openreach and wanted to talk about my internet. I just said “oh really?” and he cut me off immediately. Classic scam, shouldn’t trick anyone nowadays.

Got a call from a lady with an Asian accent saying she was from Amazon. She told me someone was attempting to purchase a gift card using my account. She actually knew my name and address, which I guess she got from the BT directory or something. She kept pushing me to log into my Amazon account, and when I said I wasn't able to, she got pretty annoyed. Definitely a dodgy scam, so I double checked on Amazon's official site and then reported the whole thing.

They called from abroad and I told them straight away they'd dialled the wrong number. When they asked for my phone number, I refused to share it. Then they just hung up on me. Seemed like a scam to me.

Got a call from some suspicious number, so I used a call blocker to check it out. The service immediately flagged it as one to block. Pretty clear it was just a dodgy scam.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from a company that blocks annoying calls, but they had a really dodgy foreign accent. They said they wanted to speak to the person living at my address. When I said it sounded like a spam call, they tried to convince me it wasn’t. Then out of the blue, they asked if I paid by direct debit. I told them that was private info and none of their concern, and then they just hung up on me.

They reached out twice about some call blocking deal. Seemed dodgy right from the start, and I just ended the call when I asked too many questions. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Got a call from some outreach service, said my name and address, asked me to put the phone down. Turned out to be a spam call, and they had a weird foreign accent. I just blocked the number, bit funny how they knew all my details!

Someone rang up claiming to be from a call blocking company. I asked for their Company Registration number to look them up on Companies House. They came back with a 6 digit number that didn’t show up anywhere on the site. We’ve been getting tons of calls like this lately - definitely feels like a scam.

This number got blocked by Truecall on my phone. The call lasted about 6 seconds, so I guess it figured out it was getting blocked. Interestingly, I got another call an hour earlier from 02045309694 which was also blocked. That one has some awful reviews here and might be connected somehow.
