It was after six in the evening when a guy called claiming to be (Sebastian) from the fraud department of Barclaycard. He started off by asking me to confirm my name and then went on about how three transactions supposedly made in Birmingham had been rejected by them. He also mentioned that someone had gained access to my account through an iPhone and insisted he needed to verify that I could still log in. What struck me as particularly suspicious was his repeated attempts to persuade me to access my account on the phone. Eventually, he hung up when I said I'd prefer to visit my local branch for clarification.
