Got a call supposedly from Mastercard or Visa saying there was a £600 charge on my credit card. They asked me to press one to get more details. I just ended the call straight away. These calls are seriously out of control now, and there should definitely be some sort of action taken. It worries me thinking someone elderly or vulnerable might fall for this scam.

On August Bank Holiday (25/08/14), at 8:15 am, I received a phone call from this particular number. The caller claimed to be from Microsoft and expressed concerns regarding the presence of several viruses on my computer. This is the second time I have been contacted by this number. The previous call occurred around 8:00 am on a Sunday morning. I highly doubt the authenticity of the call as it does not seem to originate from Microsoft, and moreover, the timing of these calls is completely inappropriate.
