Got a call supposedly from Mastercard or Visa saying there was a £600 charge on my credit card. They asked me to press one to get more details. I just ended the call straight away. These calls are seriously out of control now, and there should definitely be some sort of action taken. It worries me thinking someone elderly or vulnerable might fall for this scam.

Got a robotic call saying my IP address was hacked or something, and they wanted me to call back to talk to their "tech expert". Was definatly a scam, don’t fall for it!

Got scammed and immediately told the cops. Seriously, Parliament has got to step up and do something about this!

The caller started with "Hello Madam," but as soon as he figured out I wasn’t answering personally and it was just my ansaphone, he ended the call. Even though I’m registered with the TPS, it doesn’t seem to stop these calls. I’ve now put that number on my block list.

This number keeps ringing me up early pretty much daily. I answered once a few weeks back and told the person on the line that my computer isn’t connected to him in any way. Then I asked who he thought he was, and he just hung up. If anyone knows where these scam calls are coming from, please share it so we can warn others. On the 25th of August 2014, a Bank Holiday Monday, I got a call at about 8.15 in the morning from this number. The woman on the line claimed to be from Microsoft, warning me that my PC was infected with loads of viruses. This was actually the second time I’d been rung by this number; the first call came at around 8 o’clock on a Sunday morning. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t really Microsoft calling, and honestly, calling so early on weekends is just not on.
