I've received a message stating that I've been chosen to obtain a grant of £9,000. According to the information provided, I need to ring this number and input a unique pin code to confirm the release of the grant funds. Sounds a bit fishy, doesn’t it?

Once again, another bloody call from those annoying Indian or Pakistani telecom folks. Just wait for it... total SCAM <<<<<< >>>>>> Honestly, don’t be shocked if they already know your full name - first and last. It’s not that hard, considering all the info these companies sell around.

Got a call from someone speaking with a strong Indian accent, saying there was an issue with my computer. I told them I don’t own a computer, but they kept insisting I had a laptop. I repeated that I don’t have any device like that. Watch out, this number seems like a scam!

I've had four calls already this morning! A few of them even appeared as international numbers on my display. Honestly, I'm tempted to just disconnect the phone altogether. It's the same old nonsense on repeat, as if they think we're oblivious. I even told one fellow that we're all aware it's a scam-maybe he should consider finding a different line of work!

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from "Microsoft" saying my PC was spamming people. The number showed up as this one. He spoke with a pretty strong Indian accent. They rang me six times in just two days. Obviously a scam trying to con me. My nan used to have a whistle beside her phone to scare off these nuisance calls - maybe I should get one myself!

Over the past couple of days, I've had seven calls from this number. Luckily, I've been ignoring them thanks to the tips I found here. Still, it’s quite frustrating, which is why I’d say it’s bordering on harassment.

An elderly lady, a regular at our library, popped in today quite puzzled about a call she had received from this number. Fortunately, she hadn’t divulged any of her personal details. Just like the other experiences shared here, the caller was posing as a computer support firm or Microsoft, but the funny thing is, this customer doesn’t even have a computer! Quite a cheeky scam, if you ask me!

I keep receiving calls from someone claiming there's an issue with my computer. I’ve told them countless times that these kinds of calls are quite well known, so I really can’t fathom why they persist in bothering me. It's just baffling!

Beware of Scammers! I had a phone call at my workplace today from someone who sounded like he was from India. He claimed to be with the technical support team at Microsoft, asserting that my computer was infected with a virus and urging me to follow his so-called instructions. Clearly, a scam! I pointed out that I use a Mac, which left him exposed as a fraud. As soon as I challenged him, he abruptly ended the call! Stay sharp and don’t let yourself be misled!

We receive as many as three calls each day on our landline, which is meant to be private. They all seem to be related to that nonsense about a computer virus. I normally call them out as the scammers they are, and they promptly cut the line. It's quite infuriating, to say the least!

Received two phone calls yesterday and another one today, all around the time when one would fancy a cuppa. The first two were just half an hour apart, and today’s buzz was at precisely 5:30 p.m. They keep insisting they’re from some tech support outfit, claiming my computer’s in peril. When I asked them what info they required, they cryptically replied ‘none,’ which left me scratching my head. I probed further, asking why they bothered to call me at all if that was the case, and they were left rather flummoxed. I made it abundantly clear that they were barking up the wrong tree if they thought I’d disclose any personal details to them. I promptly ended the call. Should they dare to ring me again, I’ll happily tell them exactly where to stick their phone!

Same old story here. I’ve had calls from this mob at least ten times in the past week. Some bloke with a posh British name but a thick Indian accent tried to talk me into giving them access to my PC to fix a virus that wasn’t even there. A few years back, Trading Standards nailed them at York Crown Court, but all they got was a slap on the wrist - a fine, I think. They went quiet for a while but now they’ve started pestering people again. My advice? Keep them hanging on the line for ages before telling them to get lost!

On 16/04/2016, I got a call from an Asian guy claiming he was with the Windows user tech support. He said my computer had been hacked and he needed to access it to cancel some ID or whatever it was. When I pretended to go along with it, he got really annoyed. I asked for a callback number, and he gave me 0800 310 1045 but told me to ring back straight away before hanging up on me.

This morning, my phone rang six times from this same number, with someone insisting they were representing BT. I decided to terminate the call and reach out to BT directly. They confirmed that the call was not genuine and strongly advised me against sharing any personal details whatsoever. The chap on the other end was rather confrontational when I refused to log into my computer. Quite a dodgy business, if you ask me!

As someone living with a disability, I found myself inundated with calls from these chaps, often multiple times a day. If you happen to pick up, try demanding the MAC address of their supposedly compromised computer; this tactic tends to make them hang up pretty quickly and can cut down on the nuisance calls. Eventually, I gave in and purchased a refurbished BT phone equipped with call guardian for £39, which came with a solid warranty for two handsets. Today, I received eleven calls from 0207-564-5555, but blissfully, my home was quiet as all those calls were thwarted without a sound.

I've been inundated with calls from this number for all the reasons mentioned earlier. I've already informed them to stop calling, as I'm well aware it's a con. Yet, here I am, receiving two calls a day! Why on earth can't the authorities track these blighters down if we have their number in the first place?

They'll attempt to convince you that your computer is in peril-classic scam tactics, if you ask me. When I asked the chap to add me to their "do not call" registry, he had the audacity to question my reasoning. I told him I didn't owe him an explanation and simply requested he honour my wish. His response? A simple refusal. Not joking here. When I insisted he had to comply, he claimed he wasn't permitted to proceed and promptly disconnected the call. Glancing at my missed calls today, I see they've rung me thrice whilst I was out and about this morning.

That 0207 564 5555 number keeps hammering away, trying to get into your computer and nick your info. They don't give up easily, phoning over and over again. Some folks say the best bet is to bluff, say your machine’s a UNIX mainframe or tell them they've reached the Fraud Squad. No guarantees it'll stop them, but might as well give it a shot.

I received a call from them today. Interestingly, the lady on the line was the supervisor, or so the gentleman of Asian descent informed me. He mentioned he would bring her on shortly, which I found quite commendable-it's a rarity to actually reach a supervisor in most organisations. Just try asking for one at Vodafone! Yet, within a couple of minutes, there she was, no prompting from my side at all. I took the opportunity to tell her that given their apparent professionalism, I was more than happy to expedite matters by simply providing my address so they could collect my funds directly. That would save them the hassle of poking around my computer, which could take ages, and I’m certain they’ve got families to support. Alternatively, I even suggested dropping the cash off in person if that would be quicker for them. Strangely, they seemed uninterested in my rather generous proposition. It’s been quiet since then, and I can't help but feel a tad overlooked.

Residing in Chester, I've been inundated with calls from this number at least thrice daily. In response, I decided to invest in the BT call blocker, and what a game changer it's turned out to be! The calls get blocked instantaneously, so my phone doesn’t even have the chance to ring. I can see from BT's records that they persist in trying to reach me, but it’s no bother anymore. Honestly, this gadget is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. It set me back roughly £30, but the peace of mind it provides is absolutely priceless!

This morning, at the ungodly hour of 8:15, the phone rang and unfortunately, I was either fast asleep or trying to enjoy a break. I was convinced it was my mum in need, given her current state of health. It's absolutely appalling that such disruption occurs! Consequently, I've decided to disconnect the phone and set up an alternative means of communication with her. It’s a right shame that I’m in this position, especially considering I’m ex-directory.

Been getting loads of calls recently, always from someone with a really strong Asian accent. When I ask who they're with, they just mumble and barely say anything clear. I’ve picked up tons of these calls just to mess with them, pretending to listen but never pressing any buttons. After a while, I told them to take me off their calling lists. If they’re trying to trick people here in the UK, you’d think they’d try speaking proper English, right? It’s laughable and dodgy at the same time!

I've been receiving calls from this number multiple times each day, all regarding some supposed issues with my computer. I've reached out to BT, but they’ve informed me that the only way to block these nuisance calls is to invest in a special phone, which is quite frustrating! The same number has relentlessly rung me SEVEN times yesterday, twice the day before that, and they’re at it again today with 3 calls so far. I’ve already reached out to BT, the ICO, Ofcom, and Action Fraud, and the next step is definitely contacting the police. Whatever you do, don’t pick up when they ring. They are absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, scammers. Should you mistakenly engage in their ‘you’ve got a virus on your computer’ nonsense, you’ll be giving them a way to snoop on all your personal information, including your bank account details and email passwords, along with a whole lot more. Just steer clear of these crooks!

The phone just won’t quit ringing, it’s relentless! Just yesterday alone, I received three calls from the same number. I’ve already flagged it with the ICO, but my hunch is that, despite appearing as an 0207 number, it’s likely coming from abroad. Quite the nuisance, really!

We're on the Telephone Preference Service list, but it’s clearly not doing anything to deter this nonsense. It's the classic spiel about 'Microsoft Windows here, and your computer's in peril' - absolute drivel! Honestly, it’s beyond frustrating...

I've received calls from this number a staggering twelve times over the last three days! Despite my requests for them to cease contacting me, they persist in ringing. To add to my frustration, the number they use won't even accept incoming calls! It’s incredibly irritating.

I keep receiving calls where they’re inquiring about my computer or laptop.

This number has been ringing me nonstop, seven times just yesterday, twice the day before and already three times today. I've reached out to BT, ICO, OfCom, and Action Fraud about it, and if it carries on, I’ll be reporting it to the police next. Whatever you do, don’t pick up when this number shows up. They’re absolutely scammers, no doubt about it. They try that ‘your computer’s got a virus’ trick, but if you fall for it, they’ll get access to everything on your device - passwords, emails, bank info, the lot. Seriously, just ignore and block 02075645555!

I messd with him a bit, kept him on the line for a minute or two. Then i said my computer was a UNIX mainframe and he was actually talkng to the police HQ. Pretty sure he had a right confused moment after that! :)

So, it seems my computer is supposedly 'infected with a virus'... oh, really now? They've rung me twice in a mere twenty minutes! 😡

I’m just itching for them to ring once more - I’ll be poised with my whistle at the ready!

For the past couple of weeks, I've been getting repeated scam calls from these lot. It all started after I raised a complaint with BT about their internet problems and the Indian call centres. Seems like some folks working at BT over there are sharing phone numbers around. I told BT about it, but true to form, they just said it’s not their problem and that their call centre team wouldn’t be petty like that. Typical.

I recently received a phone call from someone claiming to be Ashley Hooper from PC Expert, insisting that my computer is infected with a virus. It’s quite clear this is just a ruse coming from India.

I've been inundated with numerous calls daily for the past week. It seems futile, as regardless of my response, the calls persist relentlessly. I even mentioned that I don't own a laptop or utilise Windows, and all they did was hang up, only for yet another caller to ring me shortly after!

Since the 28th of March, my phone has been bombarded with twelve calls, each one claiming there’s a glitch with my computer. It's becoming rather bothersome, to say the least!

I've been inundated with calls from this number for an entire week now! They rang me five times just this very morning. It’s gotten so out of hand that we've had to inform them we're considering involving the authorities. Yet, they persist in calling, and to make matters worse, BT doesn’t seem to care at all! Absolutely infuriating! 😡😡😡😡

This number keeps calling me nonstop, never leaves a message. When I asked them to remove my number from their list, because I think it’s a scam, they were nothing but rude. Really annoying.

The first call, I just told them to get lost. The next time, I pretended to go along with it for around five minutes before saying I’d followed their instructions (which I didn’t) and a warning came up saying they were scammers and I ought to tell them to bugger off - which is exactly what I did. After that, they hung up on me!

They’ve been ringing me incessantly, not less than six times daily for the past week! I eventually informed them that I’d be reporting the number to Action Fraud come Monday morning, and I just disconnected the call. It's quite shocking, to be honest, as it seems they're targeting those who might be easily misled by their dubious claims. Whatever you do, don’t hand over any personal details to them!

Got a call from an Asian guy talking about computers, but I told him I didn’t own one and he just hung up. This number has buzzed me at least four times after that. Pretty clear it’s some kind of scam.

I’ve been inundated with 15 calls over the past week, all from some dodgy automated scammer. Whenever they ring and I answer, they just hang up on me. I reckon it’s their way of getting back at me since I’ve already exposed their little game. It’s like they’re just trying to wind me up now!

Got a call from a guy with an accent claiming my computer was infected. When I asked where he got my number, he just went quiet. I told him I'd handle any problems on my own, and after I mentioned how he’d messed up my peaceful morning lie-in, he just cut me off. Proper annoying!

I encourage everyone to flag this number to the ICO or the police. It seems to be a phishing attempt aiming to steal your passwords. It's worth noting that this number might also appear as "International," "unavailable," or even show up as 00568745926. Stay vigilant!

Just echoing what others have mentioned; it's clearly an automated scam operation originating from India. I'm rather curious to find out which telecom provider assigned them that UK number. It raises quite a few questions as to why these companies don't seem to face any repercussions for facilitating such fraudulent activity!

Received a call with a rather thick foreign accent that was hard to decipher. The connection was dreadful. The caller claimed to be from "Computer Maintenance" and launched into a lengthy monologue about issues with my computer that supposedly cropped up in recent days, including potential infections and all that jazz. I let him waffle on for a bit until I finally revealed that we don't even use Windows. That seemed to throw him off completely. He quickly apologised for the interruption and hung up.

I've had this particular number hounding me relentlessly, and today I finally snapped and told them exactly what I thought of their dodgy scheme. Surprisingly, they rang me back, hurling all sorts of profanities! This marks the sixth call I've received from them today! If this carries on, I’ll have no choice but to report them to the authorities, especially since I’m already registered with the Telephone Preference Service and my number is ex-directory. Honestly, it’s outrageous that BT expects to charge for blocking these nuisance calls!

A bloke with an Indian accent called me, saying he was 'authorised' by 'Windows' to sort out security issues on my computer. I decided to keep him on the line for about 10 minutes just to waste his time. In the end, I told him I was tracking his number and would be reporting him to the cops. He quickly dropped the call!

Received a couple of calls from this particular number today. On the second occasion, I decided to play along, feigning interest while she droned on. I peppered her with questions, and funnily enough, she seemed to have a response for every single one! But after about ten minutes, I found myself losing interest and eventually told her I wasn't keen on whatever she was selling - I outright called it a scam. The moment I said that, she promptly disconnected. Quite amusing, really!

I must say, whoever these individuals are, they really ought to be reported or possibly even deported. Last year, I had the misfortune of encountering some computer fraudsters who attempted to con me out of my hard-earned cash. It was such a hassle that I had to overhaul my banking information and change my email address entirely. Just a word of caution to everyone - stay vigilant!

Complete crooks! They claim to be a PC specialist and start jabbering about some fault code on my computer. Honestly, the simplest way to shake them off is just to tell them straight up that I don't own a computer. I've received a couple of calls in quick succession, just half an hour apart. My phone is set to answer, and I'm able to block these relentless telemarketers later on. Interestingly, the caller didn't bother leaving a message. With my BT 8500, these numbers pop up on my display without causing the phone to ring, which has significantly cut down on the annoying and potentially harmful calls. I assure you, I'm neither affiliated with BT nor do I profit from them in any way, but I can genuinely say that this gadget has eased a lot of my stress. I'd definitely suggest it to anyone!

For the last few weeks, I've been getting calls from this number non-stop. This morning, I finally lost my patience, so I decided to humour the caller for a good twenty minutes. I pretended to comply with all their requests and acted as though I was completely baffled. Eventually, I told him I had a lot on my plate and asked if he could give me his contact number so I could ring him back. He quickly mentioned he’d be tied up and insisted it was better to sort it out while we were on the line. I pointed out that he was simply wasting both our time, as I recognised it was all a scam, albeit not in those exact terms.

Today, we received a couple of calls from this number. When we let the caller know we weren't keen, I asked for his number to ring him back, and he provided 0800 018 8351. Quite curious, as the number that showed on my phone was 0207564555. The chap got rather irate when we reiterated our lack of interest, and my husband ended up telling him to clear off before hanging up. But wouldn't you know it, the caller dialled us back immediately, becoming quite hostile, insisting I hear him out. I decided enough was enough and hung up once more. It's high time we get that call blocker from BT activated; I'm fed up with all these pesky scam calls!

Absolutely adore receiving calls from these clowns! Just the other day, I found myself on the phone with one of them for a good twenty minutes, all while I was furiously tapping away at my keyboard as if I was actually following their instructions. If I'm keen to get shot of them in a hurry, I simply drop the bombshell that I use Linux, and just like that, their interest fizzles out. What a right bunch of scammers!

Received multiple calls from a number starting with 100316, total of about five times now. The caller was an Asian lady claiming there was an issue with my computer.
