I've received a message stating that I've been chosen to obtain a grant of £9,000. According to the information provided, I need to ring this number and input a unique pin code to confirm the release of the grant funds. Sounds a bit fishy, doesn’t it?

Once again, another bloody call from those annoying Indian or Pakistani telecom folks. Just wait for it... total SCAM <<<<<< >>>>>> Honestly, don’t be shocked if they already know your full name - first and last. It’s not that hard, considering all the info these companies sell around.

Got a call from someone speaking with a strong Indian accent, saying there was an issue with my computer. I told them I don’t own a computer, but they kept insisting I had a laptop. I repeated that I don’t have any device like that. Watch out, this number seems like a scam!

Been getting a few calls this morning, like four already. Some show up as from overseas numbers on my caller ID. Makes me wanna just disconnect the phone completely. They always say something about a problem with your computer, the usual nonsense. Told one guy straight up that we all know it’s a scam, so why not find a proper job instead!

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from "Microsoft" saying my PC was spamming people. The number showed up as this one. He spoke with a pretty strong Indian accent. They rang me six times in just two days. Obviously a scam trying to con me. My nan used to have a whistle beside her phone to scare off these nuisance calls - maybe I should get one myself!

Over the past couple of days, I've had seven calls from this number. Luckily, I've been ignoring them thanks to the tips I found here. Still, it’s quite frustrating, which is why I’d say it’s bordering on harassment.

An older lady who regularly visits the library came by asking about a call she'd got from this number. Luckily, she didn’t share any personal info. Just like many others have mentioned, these callers say they're from Microsoft or some computer repair firm, but it’s strange because she doesn’t have a computer at all!

I’ve had calls from them claiming there’s an issue with my computer. I keep telling them plenty of people are well aware of these scams, so I’m not sure why they bother ringing me again and again.

Beware of Scammers! I had a phone call at my workplace today from someone who sounded like he was from India. He claimed to be with the technical support team at Microsoft, asserting that my computer was infected with a virus and urging me to follow his so-called instructions. Clearly, a scam! I pointed out that I use a Mac, which left him exposed as a fraud. As soon as I challenged him, he abruptly ended the call! Stay sharp and don’t let yourself be misled!

We receive as many as three calls each day on our landline, which is meant to be private. They all seem to be related to that nonsense about a computer virus. I normally call them out as the scammers they are, and they promptly cut the line. It's quite infuriating, to say the least!

Got two calls yesterday and another one today, all around early evening. The two from yesterday came within 30 minutes. Today’s was about half past five. They kept ringing, saying my computer wasn’t secure. I asked what info they needed from me and they said none. So I asked why they were bothering me at all, and they kinda stumbled with no answer. I told them they were skating on thin ice if they thought I’d share any personal info. Then I just hung up. If they ring again, I’m gonna let them know exactly what I think of them!

Same old story here. I’ve had calls from this mob at least ten times in the past week. Some bloke with a posh British name but a thick Indian accent tried to talk me into giving them access to my PC to fix a virus that wasn’t even there. A few years back, Trading Standards nailed them at York Crown Court, but all they got was a slap on the wrist - a fine, I think. They went quiet for a while but now they’ve started pestering people again. My advice? Keep them hanging on the line for ages before telling them to get lost!

Got called 4 times yesterday by some bloke with an English name but sounded foreign. Answered today, said I wasn’t interested and then they rang me once more, just blasted music and hung up. On a work shift so I’m defo gonna unplug the phone.

On 16/04/2016, I got a call from an Asian guy claiming he was with the Windows user tech support. He said my computer had been hacked and he needed to access it to cancel some ID or whatever it was. When I pretended to go along with it, he got really annoyed. I asked for a callback number, and he gave me 0800 310 1045 but told me to ring back straight away before hanging up on me.

This number has called me half a dozen times today, saying they were from BT. I ended the call and rang BT myself to let them know. As someone living with a disability, I found myself inundated with calls from these chaps, often multiple times a day. If you happen to pick up, try demanding the MAC address of their supposedly compromised computer; this tactic tends to make them hang up pretty quickly and can cut down on the nuisance calls. Eventually, I gave in and purchased a refurbished BT phone equipped with call guardian for £39, which came with a solid warranty for two handsets. Today, I received eleven calls from 0207-564-5555, but blissfully, my home was quiet as all those calls were thwarted without a sound.

I've had this number calling me nonstop for the same reasons mentioned earlier. I told them to stop calling because I was pretty sure it was some kind of scam, but now they’re ringing me a couple times every day. It makes me wonder, if we have their number, why can't the cops track them down?

They called pretending my computer was at risk - such a common scam these days. I asked the guy to add me to their "do not call" list. He wanted to know why, but I said I didn’t have to explain and just wanted to be removed. He flat out refused! Honestly, it’s true. Then I told him he was required to do it, and he said he wasn’t allowed, then hung up on me. Checking my missed calls, I saw they’d rung me three times this morning while I was out.

That 0207 564 5555 number keeps hammering away, trying to get into your computer and nick your info. They don't give up easily, phoning over and over again. Some folks say the best bet is to bluff, say your machine’s a UNIX mainframe or tell them they've reached the Fraud Squad. No guarantees it'll stop them, but might as well give it a shot.

Got a ring from them earlier today. The bloke on the line said the woman who answered after was his supervisor - apparently she was, he told me so himself. It’s actually quite surprising; trying to get through to a supervisor at most companies, like Vodafone for instance, is a nightmare. But this guy put his supervisor on within minutes without me even asking for her. Anyway, I told her since they seemed pretty legit, I might save them some bother. I just asked for their address, said I’d happily send over all my cash to save them the trouble of poking around my computer, which I reckon would take ages. They've probably got mouths to feed, right? Alternatively, if that was too slow, I said I could pop by with the money myself. Curiously, they never took me up on it, and now they haven't bothered to ring back yet. Feeling kinda ignored, to be honest.

I'm based in Chester and this number used to ring me at least three times daily. I finally got fed up and got this call blocker from BT. Now, I don't have to stress about it since the calls get blocked instantly and my phone doesn’t even buzz. From the logs on BT's blocker, I can see they're still attempting to ring me but never get through. Honestly, it’s the best purchase I’ve made. It was around £30, but totally worth it for the peace of mind.

Been getting loads of calls recently, always from someone with a really strong Asian accent. When I ask who they're with, they just mumble and barely say anything clear. I’ve picked up tons of these calls just to mess with them, pretending to listen but never pressing any buttons. After a while, I told them to take me off their calling lists. If they’re trying to trick people here in the UK, you’d think they’d try speaking proper English, right? It’s laughable and dodgy at the same time!

I've been receiving calls from this number multiple times each day, all regarding some supposed issues with my computer. I've reached out to BT, but they’ve informed me that the only way to block these nuisance calls is to invest in a special phone, which is quite frustrating! I even reported it to the Police, yet they mentioned there's little they can do either. It's all rather exasperating, to say the least.

I've had this number ringing me like mad - 7 times yesterday alone, 2 the day before, and another 3 today already. I've reached out to BT, ICO, OfCom, and Action Fraud about it, and if it doesn’t stop, the police will be next. Seriously, don’t pick up if it rings. It’s definitely a scammer trying to trick you saying your computer has a virus. If you bother with it, they’ll get into your PC and can steal passwords for your bank, emails, and loads more private info. Just ignore and don’t give them the time of day!

The phone just won’t quit ringing, it’s relentless! Just yesterday alone, I received three calls from the same number. I’ve already flagged it with the ICO, but my hunch is that, despite appearing as an 0207 number, it’s likely coming from abroad. Quite the nuisance, really!

This number has rung us back and forth about seven times today, with both a bloke and a woman on the line. We've signed up to the TPS, but it’s obviously pointless against these dodgy calls. They try that ‘your computer’s got a virus’ trick, but if you fall for it, they’ll get access to everything on your device - passwords, emails, bank info, the lot. Seriously, just ignore and block 02075645555!

Got called like 15 times over 2 days, kept telling them to knock it off but they just wouldn’t stop with their nonsense.

I messd with him a bit, kept him on the line for a minute or two. Then i said my computer was a UNIX mainframe and he was actually talkng to the police HQ. Pretty sure he had a right confused moment after that! :)

So these lot reckoned my PC was infected or something... pfft, as if! They've already ringed me up twice just 20 minutes apart >:(

I'm all set, keeping my whistle handy for when they try again!

For the past couple of weeks, I've been getting repeated scam calls from these lot. It all started after I raised a complaint with BT about their internet problems and the Indian call centres. Seems like some folks working at BT over there are sharing phone numbers around. I told BT about it, but true to form, they just said it’s not their problem and that their call centre team wouldn’t be petty like that. Typical.

I just got a call from someone called Ashley Hooper claiming to be from PC Expert, said my computer's got a virus. Pretty sure it's one of those scams from India.

I've been inundated with numerous calls daily for the past week. It seems futile, as regardless of my response, the calls persist relentlessly. I even mentioned that I don't own a laptop or utilise Windows, and all they did was hang up, only for yet another caller to ring me shortly after!

Since the 28th of March, I’ve had about a dozen calls from people claiming there’s an issue with my computer. It’s been non-stop!

For the last week, this number won’t stop ringing. I got five calls just this morning alone. We even warned them we’d involve the coppers, but they keep at it. Tried getting BT to sort it, but no luck whatsoever. Proper frustrating! 😡😡😡😡

This number keeps calling me nonstop, never leaves a message. When I asked them to remove my number from their list, because I think it’s a scam, they were nothing but rude. Really annoying.

The first call, I just told them to get lost. The next time, I pretended to go along with it for around five minutes before saying I’d followed their instructions (which I didn’t) and a warning came up saying they were scammers and I ought to tell them to bugger off - which is exactly what I did. After that, they hung up on me!

This number has been ringing me nonstop, like 5 or 6 times every day for the past week. I told them I’m planning to report them to Action Fraud first thing Monday, then just hung up without another word. It’s awful because I reckon they’re targeting folks who might be easily fooled by their nonsense. Don’t hand over any info to them!

Got a call from an Asian guy talking about computers, but I told him I didn’t own one and he just hung up. This number has buzzed me at least four times after that. Pretty clear it’s some kind of scam.

Over the past five days, I've had about 15 calls from those computer scam people. When I answer, they just hang up straight away. I reckon it’s because I’ve already told them I’m wise to their tricks, so now they’re just ringing to wind me up.

Got a call from a guy with an accent claiming my computer was infected. When I asked where he got my number, he just went quiet. I told him I'd handle any problems on my own, and after I mentioned how he’d messed up my peaceful morning lie-in, he just cut me off. Proper annoying!

They keep calling even though I told them it's a scam. So, I've gone out and bought a sports whistle to blow the next time they phone me. Hopefully, others will get one too! :)

They ring all the time and it’s defo a scam. I’ve got myself a sports whistle now for when they call again - fingers crossed that’ll stop them bothering me! :)

I encourage everyone to flag this number to the ICO or the police. It seems to be a phishing attempt aiming to steal your passwords. It's worth noting that this number might also appear as "International," "unavailable," or even show up as 00568745926. Stay vigilant!

Like others have said, this is a typical computer scam coming out of India. I'm more curious about which phone provider actually let them have a UK number in the first place. Shouldn't they be held accountable for enabling these scams to happen? Seems dodgy to me.

Received a call with a rather thick foreign accent that was hard to decipher. The connection was dreadful. The caller claimed to be from "Computer Maintenance" and launched into a lengthy monologue about issues with my computer that supposedly cropped up in recent days, including potential infections and all that jazz. I let him waffle on for a bit until I finally revealed that we don't even use Windows. That seemed to throw him off completely. He quickly apologised for the interruption and hung up.

This number’s owners should be tracked down by the cops and stopped for good. Such a scam, and they were really unpleasant as well.

This has to be a total scam. I use Linux and when I told them that, they just hung up on me. Still, they didn’t stop ringing - fingers crossed I’ve blocked the number now!

When I got a call from them, I decided to mess about a bit. Told the bloke I was some old lady, and he was really chuffed thinking he hit the jackpot. Then, just before it got silly, I told him to sling his hook!

I've been getting calls from this number all day, and when I finally told them to stop their dodgy nonsense, they rang straight back, swearing at me. I've had about half a dozen calls so far today! I'm seriously thinking of reporting them to the cops since I'm registered with the TPS and my number isn't even listed. Honestly, BT wanting to charge for blocking calls is just ridiculous!

Today this number called me three times, basically once an hour over three hours. They seem to call me daily, like clockwork. The only saving grace is that they always ring when I'm not home.

Since 9 in the morning, I've already received six calls today and had five yesterday from this same number. I've said multiple times that we're not interested, but they just keep calling. Is there any way to make them stop bothering us with these calls?

I just received a call from this number. As it was ringing, I decided to do a quick search on this website... and opted not to answer. Cheers for providing this helpful resource!

It's a bothersome caller, for sure... I suggest just ignoring it entirely. Let your voicemail handle the situation instead of engaging.

How come BT and the others haven't stopped this number yet? Surely they are aware of these SCAM CALLERS. Letting the calls go on and still charging for them just feels like the phone firms are part of the problem.

A bloke with an Indian accent called me, saying he was 'authorised' by 'Windows' to sort out security issues on my computer. I decided to keep him on the line for about 10 minutes just to waste his time. In the end, I told him I was tracking his number and would be reporting him to the cops. He quickly dropped the call!

This number rang me twice today. On the second call later in the day, I played along like I was paying attention. I kept asking her loads of questions and replied to all her stuff. After about 10 minutes, I got a bit fed up and told her I wasn’t interested and called it a scam. She ended the call straight away.

Last year I nearly got scammed by these lot, whoever they are. Tried to con me out of money, so I ended up switching all my bank info and email just to be safe. Honestly, these computer scammers should be tracked down and thrown out. Watch out!

Got a call from a woman speaking with a really strong accent, sounded like Asian or Indian. There was loads of noise in the background. She asked if I owned a computer, I just said no and then she hung up. Best to steer clear of this one.

These lot are complete fraudsters. They claim to be from PC Support and say there's some issue with your computer showing an error code. Best way I've found to shut them up is just to tell them I don't own a computer at all. Still, since they seem to be using some automated calling system, I end up getting around three calls daily from this same number, plus another one from some so called ‘International’ number.

I've started using these types of websites religiously to identify callers. Recently, I received a call from this number, and when I answered, it was eerily silent on the other end. I decided to hang up and would advise you to do the same if it happens to you! 😊

I've received a couple of calls in quick succession, just half an hour apart. My phone is set to answer, and I'm able to block these relentless telemarketers later on. Interestingly, the caller didn't bother leaving a message. With my BT 8500, these numbers pop up on my display without causing the phone to ring, which has significantly cut down on the annoying and potentially harmful calls. I assure you, I'm neither affiliated with BT nor do I profit from them in any way, but I can genuinely say that this gadget has eased a lot of my stress. I'd definitely suggest it to anyone!

For the last few weeks, this number has been ringing me non stop. Today I finally got fed up and decided to play along, chatting away for about 20 minutes while pretending to follow his instructions and act clueless. Then I mentioned I was tied up and asked him to leave his number so I could ring him later. He replied he'd be busy, so it was better to sort things out right then and there. I told him, in my own way, that he was just wasting both our time because I knew it was a scam and to quit calling me.

Today we got a call from this number. I told the person on the line we weren't interested at all. When I asked for his own number to ring him back, he gave me 0800 018 8351, but the number showing on my phone was 0207564555. He got really annoyed when we declined again, so my husband just told him to leave us alone and ended the call. The caller, though, rang right back and got quite aggressive, telling me to pay attention. I had to hang up again. I'm seriously thinking about putting on a call blocker from BT because I'm fed up with these scam calls.

It’s always a laugh when these fools ring me up. I once kept one on the line for more than 20 minutes, just tapping away on my keyboard acting like I was doing what they asked. Whenever I want to shut them down sharpish, I just say I’m on Linux and watch how fast they lose interest. Proper scammers, the lot of them.

Received multiple calls from a number starting with 100316, total of about five times now. The caller was an Asian lady claiming there was an issue with my computer. Each time I tried to ring back, the connection was dead or said the number was unreachable. It’s strange that the number shows up sometimes but I can never get through when I call back. Really suspicious behaviour!
