This nuisance seems to call me at the end of each month, just when I thought I could relax. The rest of the month tends to be filled with remarks about wanting to watch some telly or simply sit down and catch a show. We’ve even taken to closing the curtains and staying inside whenever we suspect they’re about. There’s even a nice young lady who occasionally rings, but more often than not, the only thing I hear is the sound of running water from the line. It really gives off the vibe of someone rather vulnerable, but we have no clue as to who they are or their whereabouts. At times, it feels like they are trying to reach out to a warden or someone who can help.

When I managed to record the call for the rest of the month, I received messages about wanting to watch the telly or just sit back and enjoy some programmes. I've been told to shut the curtains and stay indoors, even though we care about each other, especially when it gets a bit ominous. A cheerful young voice can often be heard, but sometimes it’s just the sound of running water in the background, which makes it all feel a bit unsettling. It's puzzling-who are they, and where are they calling from? It sometimes feels like there's a constant attempt to get through to a warden or some sort of guardian.
