Someone called saying they were from "Trovillion Insurance," but I’m pretty sure that wasn’t legit. They kept asking to speak to "the manager" and said it was about some kind of current business deal. None of it made sense, and they got really awkward when I asked for more info and called them out on it. They also insisted that we’re listed in their records. I’d stay clear if I were you.

Got a call from someone claiming they spotted my CV on CV Library and had a job opportunity for me. They asked for my National Insurance number and birthday. I refused to share that kind of info, and they just said, “No worries, we’ll use one of ours instead!” It’s pretty clear they’re just fishing through CV Library to grab personal details and cold-call people.

rang me up pretending to work for some recruitment firm, promising a pretty unrealistic and way-too-good-to-be-true salary. then they started asking for my date of birth and national insurance number to "move forward" with the application. i wasn’t about to hand over personal info to some random caller. definitely a dodgy scheme that could land unsuspecting people in a right mess.

Got a call from these lot on Sunday 14th April offering a job. Asked me for my info but I said no way since it’s Sunday and not a usual working day, seemed a bit fishy to me. Seriously, don’t hand over your personal details to them!

A few months back, I got a call from some recruitment firm named Carrington Blake. I told them to take my info off their list, but just recently they rang again, and I had to ask 'em to do it all over again. Funny enough, Norton flags their website as sketchy too. Honestly, these lot should be flagged to the ICO... maybe given a good roasting!

a firm called carrington blake rang me a couple of months back, said they were recruitment or something like that (seemed legit at first). i told them to take my info off their list, but then they phoned again recently, so i asked again for them to remove me. their website doesn't even load properly and my norton security flags it as dodgy. quite suspicious if you ask me.

Today, 7th Feb 2019, I got a call from this number. The person claimed to represent a company and said they had a job offer for me. They asked for my date of birth and National Insurance number. I gave my DoB but didn’t know my Nino offhand, so I told them to send all the details and what they needed by email.

Still waiting on any email from them. Kind of worried my details might be used wrongly.

Got a phone call about a job, they wanted my national insurance number and DOB cause apparently they didn’t have them. When I asked why they needed such personal info so early, they just hung up on me. I’ve never been asked for my NIN before an interview or starting a job. Honestly, best just to ignore or block these kinds of calls.

I got a call at about 2 in the afternoon on the 4th of September from someone claiming to be recruiters. They asked for my date of birth and I told them, but when they asked for my National Insurance Number, I didn’t share it. I was expecting to get an email afterwards but nothing's come through, and honestly, I’m glad I held onto my NIN.

They rang me in the morning claiming to be from a recruitment agency related to a job I’d applied for. They asked if I was willing to work in Leicestershire or Barrow. Then, they requested my National Insurance number and date of birth. Since I’d applied to loads of places, I assumed it was legit and handed over the info they wanted. I was out at the time and said the connection wasn’t great and I’d call back when I was home. But they insisted they already had all the necessary info from my CV, and that’s all they needed. So, I ended up giving them those details.

Just had a call from 0207 537 6600, looks like it’s Carrington Blake Group based in London E14 7EQ. They have a fax number too, 0207 117 1645, and their website is www.carringtonblake.com. Could be anything from recruitment to IT services, or maybe accountancy stuff they do. Cheers, Ash Bury.
