Got a call from 02074989286 claiming to be BT internet saying there was a problem with my connection. When I asked some questions, they just ended the call. It was definitely an Indian call centre and seemed like a total scam. It’d be great to have some sort of app to track and report numbers like this!

Got a call from a person saying they were with Amazon and looking into an iPhone purchase. I asked for some proof of who they were and they just ended the call - pretty obvious it was a scam.

picked up thinking it was the delhi pc help so i could try and beat my own record of keeping them on the line for 17 minutes. but as soon as i said hello, they ended the call straight away. definitely blocked.

been getting these quiet calls, thought it was random noise at first, but turns out the new compressed air gadgets blast out like 130db, sort of painful really. every time my number shows on those auto diallers, they just hang up straight away lol. it’d be great if more folks did this, maybe then these annoying calls would stop and the telemarketers’d have to find real work or deal with some serious hearing loss.

Got a call from this number earlier today and some woman claiming to be "Brenda from BT internet support" was on the line. Turned out to be a typical tech support con, sounded more like Sunita from somewhere in India. I've blocked the number already.

Here's a quick update: my landline keeps ringing with these annoying calls. If it were my mobile, I would have already blocked them ages ago. But since it's the house phone, blocking isn't an option. I'm seriously thinking about just unplugging it because it's pretty clear they're scammers.

This number rang my home phone, which is weird because I never give it out - I'm all about using my mobile for calls. The caller somehow knew my surname, which freaked me out a bit. When I answered, it sounded like there was another person in the background just saying 'hello' again and again, really odd. Then they just ended the call. No idea who that was, but the voice had a Pakistani accent, and that usually screams scam to me.
