I got a call on my landline from what seemed to be a recorded voice mentioning a bank transaction linked to Amazon. It was about a recent buy I'd made, but the amount they mentioned was much higher than what I actually paid. They told me to press 1 if I accepted the new amount or 2 to chat with someone. I didn’t do either, just hung up straightaway. Then I rang my bank on my mobile, and after checking, they confirmed there was no such additional charge and reckoned the call was probably a scam.
