Had a really convincing door-to-door fundraiser recently, a lady working for The Cobra Group PLC, who does business as Appco Group Support. A couple of evenings back, she convinced me to sign up for "The Children’s Society". Since then, I’ve been getting nonstop calls from this number 02074821980, which is quite frustrating. When I looked at the fine print more carefully, it said they're being paid a whopping £1,180,252.22 for their work! Honestly, it makes me wonder what’s the point in donating if such a massive amount is just funnelled elsewhere?
