This morning, I received a rather amusing automated message claiming it was from HMRC, stating there was a criminal matter involving me and that I should press 1 to be connected with my case officer. At the ripe age of 85, do they genuinely believe that officials from HMRC would communicate in such a ridiculous manner? Besides, I’m quite sure they wouldn't initiate a call like that in the first place.

Hello, just a quick heads up - steer clear of the sleazy characters ringing from this number! They claim to be from HMRC, but don’t be fooled; it’s all a ruse. Best thing to do? Tell them where to shove it and hang up straight away!

Fraudsters at work! I received a call claiming to be from HMRC, stating there was a legal issue regarding my name. They asked me to press one for further details or two to connect with my case officer. It’s absolutely abhorrent-these calls ought to be put to a halt. Thankfully, I didn’t follow their prompts, but I worry that someone more susceptible could easily fall for this ruse!

I recently received a rather dubious automated ring from this number. They professed to be representatives of HM Revenue and Customs, alleging that there was a warrant out for my arrest and urging me to press 1 to discuss the matter further. Curiously, this very morning, I also encountered an email claiming to be from HM Revenue and Customs, stating that I had overpaid and was entitled to a refund, with a suspicious link to click for ‘more details.’ Naturally, I didn’t entertain either of these communications and have duly reported the email as a phishing attempt to my workplace, considering both the call and the email came through to my professional contact details.

I just received a call from this number. I decided to let it go to voicemail, and, as others have mentioned, it was a rather alarming message claiming there’s a criminal case filed against me and suggesting there’s a warrant out for my arrest. Quite frightening, isn’t it? I can’t wrap my head around how some people can act with such impunity. I’m just relieved I didn’t answer it!

Received a rather suspicious call this morning that was probing into personal matters. When I handed the phone to my husband, the caller suddenly went quiet and then hung up. Quite dodgy, isn't it?

I just received an automated voicemail claiming to be from HMRC, warning me about some supposed criminal proceedings against my name. It instructed me to press a number to connect with my alleged case officer or something along those lines. I'm pretty sure this is a scam aiming to fish for my personal information. I'll definitely reach out to HMRC directly to let them know about this dodgy call. Better to be safe than sorry!

Received a call from this number earlier, and to my surprise, all I got was silence on the other end. I thought it wise to call back, but after a minute of ringing with no response, it quickly dawned on me that it was probably a scam. There's no chance I'd hand over any personal information to them, not that I was ever inclined to. I'm truly at my wits' end with these idle tricksters who lurk behind their screens. If there's any legal way to put a stop to these calls, I’m all for it. I’m well into my retirement years and frankly, I could do without this hassle!

This morning, I received a call from this number claiming I hadn’t responded to correspondence regarding some debts. The thing is, I haven’t seen any such letters at all. As an 81-year-old, I found the whole experience rather unsettling and rather menacing. It’s quite distressing for someone my age to receive such a call.

I haven't a clue who that was. When I verified my identity as the person they were after, they abruptly ended the call. I’ll be blocking the number-if they can't take the time to introduce themselves, they don't deserve a conversation!
