Total con! Just blocked the number and got rid of it.

Got another one of those BT scam calls today. I rang Crimestoppers first, and they passed me a number for Citizens Advice to report it. Citizens Advice then said they’d forward the details to Trading Standards, the Telephone Preference Service, and a few others. They did take all my info like my name and phone number, which was quite useful. The number from Crimestoppers for Citizens Advice is 0345 404 0506. I’ve also blocked the number on my BT account and shot an email over to BT to let them know. Might not stop these scammers but every little bit helps, right?

It was one of those BT scams. The moment I asked them for their name, they just hung up on me! I've blocked the number already, but I'm struggling to find how to report this to BT. Proper annoying!

They said they wer from some support team or something but never asked for my name. There was loads of noise in the background, sounded like they were having internet issues. Then they asked if I was near my computer so they could "check" it. I just ended the call right away. If it was legit they'd always ask for me by my proper name - I'm not getting caught by this scam.

a guy called harry claiming to be from bt about my internet issues. the moment i told him i didn’t trust he was really from bt, he just cut the call.

I got a call asking if I was the primary internet user at my place. They claimed there had been issues with my internet these last couple of days, which definitely isn’t true. Once I told them it was a scam, they just ended the call. I've now blocked the number using BT Protect on my blacklist.

bit iffy that one. The guy claimed he was from BT, said there was a problem with my internet, loads of noise buzzing in the background. Seemed dodgy from the start. When I gave short answers, they just cut the call. Definitely doesn't make BT look good, felt really fishy.

I just got a call from this number. When I told them I don’t use a computer and asked if they could ring back when my husband’s home, they just ended the call straight away.
