Got a call on my phone from someone saying they were with BT Open Reach, telling me hackers were watching what I do online. The woman on the line mentioned there was an engineer ready to help, but she couldn’t explain why BT would be ringing me since they aren’t my provider, nor did she say how she got my number. When I rang back using my home phone, they said the number didn’t exist.
