A guy with an American accent just rang me up and knew my name, saying I was keen on investing, which is true. Then he pushed Bitcoin, claiming loads of people had made millions. He told me if I’d put in $100 yesterday, I’d be up $700 today! I had Bitcoin prices open on my laptop and told him the price hadn’t changed since yesterday and was actually down nearly 10% over the past month. He quickly twigged I wasn’t buying it and hung up. Received a rather dodgy call from 02074425678 earlier today. The bloke on the other end claimed to be called Dominic and was prattling on about cryptocurrency. I firmly told him I wasn’t interested and requested to be removed from his list. Rather cheekily, he just laughed and said he wouldn’t do that unless I let him ramble on! I decided that enough was enough, hung up, and blocked him straight away. It’s high time there were stricter penalties for these shifty characters; they really ought to be tracked down and penalised!

I found the individual I spoke with to be rather impolite. He only referred to me by my surname-completely ignoring any title or first name-which felt rather dismissive. When I pressed him about the company he was representing, he was quite evasive, yet seemed to have done a bit of homework as he referred to some specific incidents in my professional life, albeit not very accurately. Ultimately, he finally claimed to be from Swiss Capital London, but I had no interest in continuing the conversation and promptly ended the call.
