I received a rather alarming automated call earlier, spoken in an American accent, claiming that HMRC had me under investigation for tax evasion and was moving forward with prosecution. It urged me to press 1 for more details, but I chose to ignore it. Curiously enough, this was the second time today I'd received such a voicemail, albeit from a different number. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

At precisely 6:57 PM, I got two back-to-back calls that I chose to dismiss. Shortly after, that same number rang again, so I picked up and greeted them with a "hello," only for them to abruptly disconnect. Now, as I sit here at 7:40 PM, there's been a sudden silence with no additional calls coming through... Best to erase this number.
