got a recorded message from this number too. i wish it was bt but it aint. chatted with some work pals and it looks like loads of ppl have been getting these calls. best thing is just block and ignore, they’re definitely trying to scam you for info. i know this because i work at bt and they’re well aware of these calls.

Got a call from someone claiming to be BT, saying they needed to change my IP or whatever. I decided to hang around for the voice and ended up speaking to an Indian guy (not shocked there). He struggled loads with his English and totally panicked when I said something that wasn’t in his script!

I got a robo call saying my BT internet got hacked from different countries, weirdly they said they'd shut off my internet and swap my IP address. Of course, if I wanted to talk to someone, I had to stay on the line... yeah right, I just hung up. Do they really believe I'm that daft??

I got a call from a recorded voice claiming my BT IP had been hacked and said to hold the line to talk to an agent. Naturally, I just ended the call. Same happened to a mate of mine in Leeds.

Had a call from a silent number, no one spoke when I picked up, so I've just blocked it. Looks like most of the dodgy calls I get are coming from London too.

Got a call from this strange number but didn’t pick up. It only rang for a second before they hung up. I’ll keep an eye out in case they try again.

I got a call from some automated voice telling me my BT IP address had been hacked or something. It said to hold on to talk to a person, but I just ended the call straight away.
