Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT, trying to get me to give them control of my computer. Caller ID was blank. Seems dodgy to me.

For the past month, I've been getting loads of calls from this same number, with both men and women claiming to be from BT. They say my computer is infected with malware and try to convince me to switch it on. Sometimes I get up to four calls a day. I’ve warned them I’m not a BT customer and even mentioned the police are recording calls, but they just won’t stop. You can hear all the background noise like a busy call centre, and it’s obvious it’s not a machine since it takes nearly 40 seconds before someone actually talks or the call just ends abruptly.

This number kept ringing me loads, and all I could hear was music and some muffled chat in the background.

Called me claiming to be Raj from BT, said my internet was gonna be off for a week. Asked if I could pop over to my computer.

They've rung me a couple of times today, and whenever I pick up, there's just silence and then they cut off. Strange behaviour really!
