10 yearsReceived a rather odd call from this number, yet the caller didn’t utter a word. I attempted to return the call, but it seems like no one’s picking up. Quite peculiar, if you ask me!10 yearsAbsolutely adore this place! The expertise at Makeover Studios is truly remarkable when it comes to transformations. I had never come across them before, until a mate of mine gifted me a voucher for a makeover session. Naturally, the first thing I did was have a gander at their website to suss out what they offered and I was quite taken aback by the affordability of their packages. While they do have some premium options that throw in a boatload of photos, most of their offerings hover around the £50 mark per session, and I received an even heftier discount when I booked multiple deals. Honestly, my expectations were low considering the price, so you can imagine my delight in discovering just how much value I received for my money. Having tested a myriad of hair salons locally, none could compare to what I found at Makeover Studios. I’ll definitely be returning for my hair treatments there. I had no idea they were affiliated with Burlingtons, which is known far and wide for their stellar hairdressing credentials. The makeup application was equally impressive; the MAC consultant, Jenaid, exclusively used MAC products-my absolute fave-and shared plenty of helpful tips tailored to my skin tone. The look was somewhat more theatrical than my usual day-to-day makeup, but they clarified that it had to be bolder because of the bright lights of the camera, which could wash out the colours, leaving you looking rather pale in photos. I really didn’t want to wash it all off once I left, so they helped tone it down for a more subdued look. When I got home, my husband snapped a plethora of extra photographs for me to practise recreating that fabulous look, aided by the pictures and the handy chart they provided. The package includes one complimentary shot, with additional ones starting at fifty pounds and climbing to two hundred and fifty, based on your chosen dimensions. There’s also a surcharge for retouching, but thankfully, they avoid any high-pressure sales tactics, which is a relief, as I struggle to say no when under duress. To be honest, the quality of the photos speaks for itself. I’m really grateful for the chance to partake in this experience and absolutely plan on returning in the future. A highly recommended venture for a unique outing-definitely worth every penny!Makeover StudiosBurlingtonsMACJenaid10 yearsI must say, these individuals are nothing short of charlatans. Just a day after we registered, we got a call claiming we had won something, and then they insisted on a £40 refundable deposit to confirm our spot. When we explained that the pricing of the photographs was quite prohibitive for both my wife and myself at £40 each, they seemed unfazed. Despite my repeated pleas that this isn't within our budget, I continue to receive incessant calls from them. It’s quite clear they are trying to pull a fast one. Absolute con artists, without a doubt!10 yearsI’ve had a rather unpleasant experience with this lot. They contacted us just the day after we entered and gushed about how we’d won a prize, but then they insisted on a £40 refundable deposit to secure it. When I explained that my wife and I simply couldn't stretch to that amount for some photos, their response was to keep calling, completely disregarding my pleas. Despite telling them repeatedly that it’s not financially feasible for us, the calls just keep coming. It’s quite clear they’re up to no good. Absolute charlatans, if you ask me!11 yearsAbsolutely! We're getting calls from these folks as well. Does anyone know how to put a stop to them?11 yearsWe had a remarkably similar experience today. Thankfully, we had the common sense not to share any card information, but in a moment of oversight, we did provide them with our address. This year, they're after a booking deposit of fifty quid for a makeover and photoshoot in a location around W1. Quite the coincidence, isn't it?11 yearsI've had the exact same experience! The pictures were absolutely dreadful! It's just a bunch of cowboys out there, really trying to pull the wool over people's eyes!11 yearsI received a call asking for a £40 refundable deposit for a makeover, so I promptly paid it. We went ahead with the photoshoot only to be told later that the deposit was non-refundable and, on top of that, we needed to cough up even more cash! What a total con!11 yearsOi Craig, What did you manage to snag in the end? I’ve popped over there a couple of times myself, but word has it they've rolled out some fresh deals on photography. Do fill me in, cheers!Craig11 yearsReceived a rather odd call from this number, but I chose not to pick up. I tried ringing back to see who it was, yet no one seems to be picking up. Quite baffling, really!12 yearsHad a phone call from them, asking for a £40 deposit for a makeover. We handed it over and went along for the shoot, but then they hit us with the news that the deposit was non-refundable and insisted we shell out more cash! What a complete con!12 yearsJust yesterday, I received a phone call informing me that I’d been selected for a makeover and photoshoot, but I needed to pay a deposit of £50. I must say, participating in my first makeover and photo shoot at Makeover Studios was a delightful experience. It truly was a blast! I was a tad apprehensive about the whole affair, nearly backed out when it was time to step inside. However, the moment I crossed the threshold, I immediately felt enveloped in warmth and welcome. It’s been ages since I’ve been treated with such kindness! Now, let’s talk about the team at New ID - they are simply brilliant! I opted for the Deluxe makeover package, which entailed having my hair washed, cut, dried, and styled. I adored the way they managed my hair; the wash felt more like a luxurious head massage than a mere cleanse! The products they used were remarkable, leaving my hair not only silky smooth but also full of life. As for the haircut - I’m still in love with it, and I can happily report that it still looks fantastic days later. Their makeup artistry was impressive as well, though I’m not sure I could achieve that same effect myself; nor am I certain I’d want to apply that much. But oh, it looked so glamorous on! I had the most enjoyable time during the photoshoot, which I initially feared. Thankfully, the photographer was incredibly kind and truly made me feel at ease. Choosing my favourite photos was quite the challenge, as they were all stunning! Eventually, I managed to narrow it down to five, and I was thrilled to receive an extra one at no charge. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Makeover Studios and would be more than willing to revisit for another four-hour session in a heartbeat. Regarding the artwork, sure, it’s a bit pricey, but what do you expect? Professional quality doesn’t come cheap - are you hoping to pay a fiver? You might as well hop over to Boots! If you do receive a call from this company, prepare for a wonderful day that’s undoubtedly worth splurging on some artwork. Otherwise, you might as well spend a day at the fair, stare at the rides, and jog back home; it's much the same!Makeover StudiosNew ID12 yearsI recently entered an online contest for a family makeover and photoshoot. A few weeks later, I received a call from Makeover London, informing me that I'd won! However, they asked for a deposit of £50. Initially, I was a bit sceptical, but I had intended to go through with it since I entered the competition in the first place. Just last week, we returned from our session. My wife and daughter absolutely adored the makeover-me, not so much. I found it a bit dull, but my family, being such fans of all things glam, were over the moon and have even arranged for another booking next month! It’s a tad pricey, but hey, good service often comes at a cost. The photos turned out lovely, and they even tailored a special package for me, which was a lovely touch. I'd definitely recommend it to others, although it might not be every chap's cup of tea!Makeover London12 yearsSo, I received a text saying I had won a makeover competition and was instructed to call the provided number. However, I quickly hopped onto the UKbride website to see if they listed any winners, much like they do for the dream wedding dress competition. To my surprise, there was absolutely no mention of this so-called win. Intrigued, I decided to look up the number on Google and stumbled upon this page. I'm really glad we chose not to call after all. A massive thank you to everyone who shared their experiences; you've truly eased our worries!UKbrideGoogleSubmit Your Own Report (020 7388 5757)
