Spent a good ten minutes just messing about with this caller. The guy said he was from OpenReach, but my missus told him we’re not customers there. He insisted OpenReach handles the infrastructure, which I guess is partly true, so we just played along. Then he asked about checking our broadband frequency. Frequency? My wife passed me the phone, and he ran his spiel again. I finally told him I wasn’t buying it, and he started yelling at me to listen. I just kept talking over him nicely, then ended the call.

I said I was actually using a MacBook. After that, he claimed he was part of the Windows support team and said I'd get another call within the next half hour. Honestly, I felt a bit bad that I only managed to keep him on the line for 6 minutes.
