I just received a dodgy call claiming they needed to have a word with the primary user of my computer. It’s obvious that it’s a scam, and the accent suggests they're not from anywhere in Europe. I mean, how is it that a London number popped up on my phone? Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

This morning, I received a call from a chap with an Indian accent named Sean, claiming to represent a computer security company. He inquired if I was the primary user of the computer and whether I could power it up in relation to some alleged virus before abruptly hanging up. Just yesterday, I had a woman ring me from 01304 209723 with a similar spiel; she hung up but kept phoning back relentlessly. Then, another caller from 0017362839529 contacted me with the same message. I mentioned that my wife was the main user, and he promised to ring back... which led to this morning’s annoyance. Strangely enough, my mother-in-law was just discussing a watchdog programme last night! Quite the coincidence, isn’t it?

Received a call this morning at 9, and there was absolutely nothing on the other end. With family members unwell, it’s truly unnerving. These con artists deserve a serious talking to, or worse!

Absolutely cracking! I followed the exact steps shown on BBC Watchdog last night, feigning issues with my computer. It was a right laugh!
