Got a call from a London number, but it turned out to be a scammer wanting to talk to the primary user of my computer. It’s pretty obvious they’re from abroad, not even in Europe, so why would they use a UK phone number? Seems fishy to me.

Just got a call from someone saying there’s a problem with my computer. Sounded like a total scam to me. Don’t fall for it, they’re just trying to trick you out of your money.

Got a call earlier today from a bloke with an Indian accent named Sean, said he was with some sort of cyber security company... asked if I was the primary user of my computer and if I could switch it on to check for a virus, then he just hung up. Funny thing is, yesterday I had a woman ring from 01304 209723 with the same spiel, she hung up but kept calling back over and over. Then another guy called from 0017362839529 saying the same thing... told him my wife is the main user, not me, and he said he'd call me back. So that’s why I got the call this morning. Proper annoying. Oddly enough, my mother-in-law was talking about watchdogs just last night... bit spooky.

Got a silent call early this morning, about 9am. With my family being ill right now, it really threw me off. Honestly, these scammers are horrible and should be dealt with harshly.

Totally cracked me up - followed that same trick shown on BBC Watchdog last evening where they claim something’s wrong with your computer.

I answered the call but there was nothing on the other end, just silence. Feels like it might be some sort of auto dialler. The number looks like a London landline.
