I ignored the call because I had a hunch it was a scam.

Got a call from someone saying they were from BT/O2, claiming I could get 30% off my bill if I confirmed a One Time Passcode. An lady first called, then passed me to a bloke pretending to be her manager to sort out the discount. When I wouldn’t share the code and questioned why the call wasn’t coming from a genuine BT number, the guy just ended the call on me. Definitely a scam!
