Today, I received yet another call from this number, purportedly belonging to a firm that cleans ecclesiastical silverware. Despite my numerous insistences that their services are of no interest to me, they continue to bombard me with calls on a weekly basis. The tone of the caller and the language they employ suggests that they are addressing a matter of utmost urgency-almost as if something grave has occurred, like an illness or a death ("I simply MUST speak to the vicar!"-though they never plainly declare it as an emergency). I’ve noted that they’ve used this number in the past, and it's likely they have others they’re cycling through as well.
