Some person rang up saying my internet was hacked and wanted me to let them get into my computer so they could put some code on it. Total scam, don’t fall for it!

Got a call claiming to be from BT, said there was some dodgy activity on my internet. Voice was proper posh and sounded legit, with a British accent and all. They said I'd "missed a call from BT engineering" about the issue, but I knew straight away it was a scam. I've been stuck indoors due to lockdown and haven’t been out of earshot of my phone for ages!

Just had a call from 02075865001, said they were from Amazon. Seemed fishy to me.

somebody claiming to be from bt phoned me saying £600 had been withdrawn from my bank account. they then said my ip address was being exploited to steal from others, and told me to check some details on my phone with their help to stop it. i asked for a bt contact number to verify, but as soon as i mentioned i’d look into whether the call was genuine, they hung up. just before hanging up, they threatened to disconnect my internet.

Got a robo call saying my internet router was hacked or sumthin and I needed to push a button to get an “engineer” to ring me back. Made me a bit suspicious tbh.

got a robo call saying it’s ‘talk talk technical’ about my broadband getting cut off. this is the fourth time they’ve rung me today. really annoying.

I’ve stopped picking up my landline now. Since there haven’t been any messages on my answerphone, I’m guessing it’s just some kind of spam call.
