I received a rather drawn-out phone call today, claiming I had won a holiday in Florida through some Lloyds TSB rewards programme. The caller wanted my card number and its expiry date, which I found rather dodgy. When I asked for them to send the details in writing along with a claim number, they outright refused. I ended the conversation there and reached out to Lloyds TSB directly, only to find out they had no knowledge of such a scheme. Clearly, this is a scam!

They presented themselves as "cometoorlando.com" and claimed to be in partnership with Visa rewards programmes. They requested my card details to verify some sort of entitlement. My number was withheld initially, but they promptly provided it when I made an inquiry. The website turned out to be a complete dud; it might have previously been linked to some timeshare operation. My bank hasn't heard of them at all, and as for the card, it doesn’t offer any rewards at all. Quite suspicious, to say the least!

Long claimed that the phone had bagged a holiday in Florida through the Lloyds TSB rewards programme. When we asked for the card details, including the expiry date and number, they refused to provide any information, including a claim number. We decided to verify this with Lloyds TSB directly, only to find they knew nothing of such a scheme. What a scam!
