On Wednesday 15th May 2024 at around 2:59pm, I got a call on my landline from an automated female voice. She claimed that two transactions had been made with my bank card that day - one for £300 to Amazon and another for £1100 to some International Money Transfer service. Then she told me to press 1 or 2 for different options, but I didn’t bother pressing anything. After that, there was just silence on the line and I simply hung up. When I checked the number using 1471, it said the caller was from "The Refugee Council".
