Got a call from this number claiming to be Virgin Media. I told them I wasn’t interested since I’ve been getting loads of spam calls lately pretending to be Virgin Media. Received a call from this number yesterday and another today, but I chose not to pick up. I don't really use my phone all that often and have all my contacts stored, so when an unknown number pops up, I can pretty much guess it's a scam or something similar. Typically, I switch my phone off for a few days; I realise that isn’t an option for everyone, but it’s quite effective for me. They usually seem to stop after that, and when I turn my phone on again, it’s all quiet. It’s no bother to me, really; I simply opt to ignore any calls that aren’t from people I recognise.

It seems this isn't actually Virginia media, but rather a rogue individual posing as one. They informed me that my router was faulty and needed replacing, despite the fact that Virgin had just swapped mine out for a new model the previous week!
