I got a ring from 02+073975568, the person said they were from HM Revenue and Customs and that I had to talk to a tax advisor about some problem. I pressed 1 and ended up chatting with a guy who said I owed around £900 in income tax. I told him that wasn’t right and then he just cut the call.

Picking up the phone, I just said hello, but there was silence for a bit. Then this voice with a northern accent started chuckling and kept saying “the quiet ones are the worst” over and over. I didn’t bother replying, and they must’ve lost interest and ended the call.

It's so annoying when people ring up and just hang up as soon as you pick up. What's the point of calling if you don’t want to talk to the person? These silent calls are illegal here and really should be reported to the ICO so they can take action. Chelsea tried to get my number so they could delete it from their records, but no chance. They never said who they were before ending the call, totally unprofessional. Honestly, I’d steer clear of them.

Was in the middle of helping a customer when I answered a call saying hello, but the person just hung up straight away. So frustrating, especially when you’re trying to run a small business without distractions like this!
