They wanted to speak to our director by name, but obviously he doesn’t entertain cold calls. I explained that to the person on the phone, who said they’d send an email instead. I’m pretty sure they’ll ring back next week asking the same thing. Honestly, they’d be better off finding some other low-paid gig that’s not so humiliating.

Had a call from Tim the other day, and just like others have said, reckon he never got past the first step (lol). He's going on about Knightsbridge like he's some proper big shot with amazing investment deals. Yet another dodgy cold call from some firm claiming to be One Knightsbridge. A well-spoken chap rang our number-it's plastered all over our site-asking for me specifically. He claimed to represent this so-called company, which supposedly provides lucrative financial prospects for those with deep pockets. I swiftly informed him I wasn’t keen, but he kept droning on, relentless in his pursuit. I decided enough was enough, cut the call, and blocked him. Honestly, if a financial services outfit resorts to cold calling and boasts about their triumphs, anyone taking them seriously might want to reconsider their judgement!

Got a call from some firm named One Knightsbridge, they claimed it was about equities or stocks or something like that. Asked to speak to the business owner by name. I just said "he's not interested in chatting", and the caller just replied "thanks for your time then". Not rude or pushy, just another irritating cold call. Very posh sounding bloke, sounded like he went to a fancy private school, said he was calling from "One Knightsbridge, London". He was going on about stockbrokers and wanted to post me some brochure about investments. Didn't take no for an answer and kept jabbering on. Properly irritating, had to just end the call in the end.

I picked up the phone only to encounter a rather brash gentleman who insisted on speaking to the Managing Director, using his full name no less. As my husband and I are co-owners, I explained that he wasn't around at the moment, offering my assistance instead. Strangely, he never inquired who I was. When I asked for his identity, he claimed to be a stockbroker. I politely declined his overture, yet he rather ungraciously retorted that he would ring back to ensure he got through to the MD. He then hung up on me! Naturally, I promptly called him back to inform him that he had just spoken to one of the Directors. I told him he was behaving like a complete numpty for disconnecting the call and that I would be reporting him for his unsolicited call. Honestly, he struck me as such an unrefined buffoon that I wouldn't even consider giving him a job cleaning loos-he seems to have enough rubbish to deal with just in conversation! - Caller: A rather conceited young chap.

Dodgy Stockbrokers on the Line I received a rather abrupt call from a chap claiming to be from One Knightsbridge Stockbrokers. He had a rather unusual accent and presented himself as an investor keen to discuss our enterprise. He was adamant about needing to speak with the Director, which struck me as excessively pushy. When I mentioned that we weren't interested - being farmers and all - he became somewhat impolite. A quick search on other phone directories confirms they’re just a bunch of scammers!
