Looks like someone tried to scam me with fake card activity. Got a message saying “BARCLAYS BANK: B&Q £656.99 Authcode:639364 Not you, ring 0333 012 4126.” Definitely not my purchase. Be careful out there!

Got a call again from some scammer pretending to be HMRC, telling me I’m about to be arrested for dodging taxes and to press 1 to chat with an ‘advisor’. Obviously, I just ended the call and added the number to my block list. I’ve got loads of these dodgy calls blocked now, it’s crazy how many times they keep trying.

I didn’t pick up, but I did get a voicemail that was really hard to make out. It mentioned something to do with my name and finished by saying something like ‘press 1 for more info to avoid legal trouble’. Honestly, best bet is probably just to block the number and not bother with it.
