A gentleman with an accent became rather displeased when my husband picked up the phone and told him to quit wasting his time. He was rather aggressive, so I decided to take over the conversation. I inquired what the fuss was about, and he claimed he was there to put an end to nuisance calls. I politely thanked him, but he insisted he hadn't done anything so far and offered his services for a one-off fee. I declined, saying no thanks, and then he abruptly hung up.
