I find it absolutely infuriating that my number is registered with the Telephone Preference Service, yet I still received a call from these clowns on the 4th of October. Why is this situation not being addressed? If Libra Group is aware that their number is being used for nefarious purposes, wouldn’t it make sense for them to notify the proper authorities? It’s baffling as to why BT or whichever telecom company allows these dodgy operators to continue using such numbers without facing any consequences. It’s high time action was taken against these scammers; their antics have reached an utterly unacceptable level. The whole situation has become quite absurd. When is the UK government gonna step up and ban these numbers across the board? OFCOM or some agency needs a proper team just for cracking down on telecom scams. I know the govt will probably claim it’s impossible, and some know-it-alls will argue scammers always find a way round blocks. But honestly, it CAN be done and MUST be done. Even if it just cuts the number of pensioners and vulnerable people getting scammed by half, that’d be massive. I’d definitely back a politician who pushed for an OFCOM Fraud Number Blocking Squad.

I didnt answer the phone but rang back after and the libra group told me their number got hacked. Im not sure about the hacking tho, since its a VOIP number its probably just someone spoofing it. About the quick hang ups, i think they're gathering info, so if a real person answers it means the number is active and they add it to their list. Best not to answer at all :)
