10 yearsI received a call from someone who had a name that sounded rather Western, but they were clearly from India. They were fishing for details about my computer. I made it quite clear that I wasn’t falling for any tricks and decided to end the conversation there.India13 yearsIt appears to be a type of online con.13 yearsI received a call from this number today, August 2nd, but when I attempted to call it back, I was informed that the number is not recognised. I would appreciate any guidance you could provide. Thank you kindly. The call came through on my home phone. Best, Sue Lockyer 07944005624Sue Lockyer13 yearsI received a rather suspicious call on the 2nd of August at precisely 16:24. The caller, a woman claiming to be from "overseas," insisted my Windows computer was performing poorly and that she could rectify the issue if I provided her with certain details. I politely informed her that I actually use a Mac, to which she responded with a surprised 'Oh' before promptly hanging up. This kind of ruse is quite typical of scammers attempting to gain access to unsuspecting individuals' devices, often leading to potential hijacking or worse. My advice? Just mention you're using an Apple product, and they usually vanish into thin air! It's crucial never to grant access to your computer to anyone who calls out of the blue, no matter how convincing they may sound. It's likely all part of a scam. I even tried to call back the number, only to find it was unrecognised - how shocking! Stay vigilant, everyone! Cheers, Jack AndrewsAppleJack AndrewsSubmit Your Own Report (020 7243 0658)
