She said my Windows computer was slow and offered to fix it if I gave her some details. I told her I use a Mac, and she just said “Oh” and ended the call. Classic trick to lure people into letting strangers into their computers so they can get scammed or worse. Always say you have an Apple Mac if you get calls like this. Never, ever let people you didn’t expect access your device, even if they sound legit. I tried calling the number back, but of course, it wasn’t recognised - no shock there.
