Received a dodgy phone call - an individual with a distinctly Indian accent claiming to be from the TalkTalk tech team, insisting there’s an issue with my router. I've informed them repeatedly to cease their calls, as I'm fully aware it’s a scam. Yet, I've been relentlessly pestered for the past three weeks or thereabouts…

This was definitely one of those TT scams. Be careful!

Looks like they’ve shifted to 02072415792 now! Same old scam. I’ve started keeping a whistle handy by my phone and blew it pretty loud at the "TalkTalk" caller! Fingers crossed they finally get the hint and see the RED CARD!

In just four days, I’ve had like 15 calls from these scam artists. The people behind it all don’t really seem bothered about actually helping anyone, just wasting our time.

Got a call from 020-7241-5791, some dodgy folks pretending to be from TalkTalk. Funny thing is, I’d just spoken to TalkTalk about a router problem not long before that. Makes me wonder if someone’s leaking info or if it’s just a strange coincidence. After a bit of faffing about, I finally told the bloke he was a scammer and told him where to go! Maybe I should’ve just blown a loud whistle instead, haha.

An older mate of mine has had this number ring her up loads lately. The callers claimed to be from Talk Talk, saying her internet modem was having issues. They kept asking for her password and wanted her to follow some steps on her computer. When she told them she couldn’t recall her password and didn’t really know how to operate her PC properly, they got a bit rude. Tried calling back myself but the line just kept buzzing with no answer.

Got a call from an Asian lady earlier today and then an Asian bloke later on. I decided to call the number back and just let it keep ringing for about five minutes trying to bug them a bit. No sooner had I hung up than he called straight back, and when I picked up, didn’t say a word, they hung up right away.

Got a call saying it was Talktalk about some issue with my router. I asked the bloke if he knew my name and where I lived - figured he’d know if it was legit. Next thing, he just done and hung up on me.

When I get one of those calls, I usually tell them to hold on while I fire up my computer. I mention it’s running really slow and then tell them how impressed I am that they’ve already spotted something might be wrong - probably some dodgy virus or scamware. Depending on how much time and patience I’ve got that day, I’ll keep them on the line as long as I can be bothered. While they’re giving me instructions, I pretend to be completely clueless, which can drag on for about half an hour. It’s a bit of fun and also means they’re not hassling anyone else during that time.

Beware of K###an Q###um from Spinney Hills in Leicester - he’s notorious for scams and trying to hack into people’s computers. Heard he’s been spotted around Evington and Highfields areas too. Stay safe!

This number has called me loads of times claiming to be from TalkTalk. They asked me to hit Ctrl + Fn + Windows + R, probably to get me to open something so they could show fake bugs on my PC. When my partner questioned them, the bloke started saying things like "I was just wondering if your p#ssy is gorgeous" and "I wanna f#ck you". Honestly, when will there be some tech smart enough to block these creeps for good?

This number called me a few times claiming to be from TalkTalk. They asked me to press Ctrl-Fn-Windows-R, probably to open the Run command and convince me my PC was full of viruses. When I questioned their nonsense, the person on the line started saying really inappropriate things to my partner like "your p#ssy must be gorgeous" and "I wanna f#ck you." It’s crazy! Why isn’t there a way to block these idiots for good?

Its only 3 in the arvo and I've already had this number ring me like six times today! Didn't answer any of them, mind. They were at it pretty much all day yesterday as well. Honestly, there ought to be some kinda rule to stop such relentless hassling.

I told them I’m not a customer of TalkTalk, but the guy kept trying to joke around. Then out of nowhere he goes, ‘You are with TalkTalk, you f***ing daft tw*t!’ and just hung up. Absolutely scammers!

Loads of different numbers keep ringing me, all claiming they’re from TalkTalk’s tech support. Definitely scams. When one number doesn’t work, they just ring back from another! They don’t give up easily! If you get in touch with TalkTalk themselves, you can arrange call blocking and shut down these dodgy numbers.

Typical rubbish from these idiots. I’m with Sky, yet they keep bothering me about my TalkTalk router! I probably get three calls daily from them. I’ve decided to keep a whistle next to the phone for when they ring again.

I've just put in a complaint online with the Telephone Preference Service. It's not really a sales call from these people, but you could say it is since they're trying to "enhance our service." If loads of folks complain (mine took about two minutes), maybe the TPS will actually take some action. I've also heard BT plan to launch a new service by the end of the year to tackle calls like this.

Talk Talk and BT are right mads too, but these ones are a nutter in their own kinda way. Both of those companies don’t seem bothered at all when it comes to sorting stuff out.

This 7 241 5791 number has been ringing me like crazy, about 7 times just this week. They keep using English names which is a bit funny since their accent is very Indian. They say they’re from TalkTalk or something, and mention some virus nonsense. Total scam. If you can, just block them. It’s proper annoying and honestly, they ought to be taken to court for all this pestering.
