Someone called saying they could lower my TV insurance cost. When I asked what company I was supposedly insured with since they said I was paying £7, they didn’t have an answer. I told them I’ve never had insurance on my TV, but they kept saying maybe I didn’t know about it. I stayed calm and told them straight up I’m fully aware I don’t have any insurance and I know these sorts of sales calls well.

A guy with an Asian accent called up saying there was an issue with my TV insurance direct debit. Thing is, I don’t have any TV insurance - actually, I don’t even own a telly! Quite frustrating.

Got a call claiming I have some TV insurance, which I definitely don’t. When I asked them which TV they meant, they just cut the call straight away. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from someone trying to sell me TV insurance - total scam! Best just to ignore it and, if you can, report the number to those call blocking groups. The more these dodgy numbers get blocked, the harder it is for scammers to trick people. Stay safe!

I get calls all the time from numbers that change just a bit each time. I just don’t pick up and there’s never any voicemail left. What worries me is how a company like Domestic and General lets this go on without looking into it. Surely, this kind of thing could really damage their reputation and put off potential customers.

They didn’t bother leaving any voicemail, so I just didn’t pick up.

Got a call this morning at 8:15 on the 24th of September from an Asian gent trying to talk me into some sort of TV insurance. He just wouldn't accept me saying no. Luckily, my name’s a bit tricky for folks who aren’t from the UK, so I instantly guessed it was some kind of scam. Just the regular annoying calls like this showing up again, really.

This number rings me up quite a bit every week. Normally, I just let it go to voicemail, but today I decided to answer, planning to give them a piece of my mind. Funny enough, like before, the call just ended right when I said hello.

I picked up the phone and all I could hear was some sort of busy office background noise. It was a large space for sure, but nobody actually spoke or left a message.

Got a call today from someone saying they were from "Home Appliances" about my telly. They tried to convince me to lower my repair cover. I asked about the weather in Kolkata just to annoy him a bit. After a string of angry Hindi words, he just hung up. Pretty sure he was trying to fish for my bank info or something.

Got a call from a lady with an accent about my TV. I told her I own it and don’t have any sort of repair plan. Honestly, how do these awful folks even get hold of our names and phone numbers? Watch out, everyone!

I got a call from a bloke named Frank, said something about home insurance stuff. When I asked him how he got my number, he just said he's allowed to call anyone. Told him to remove me from his list and hung up. He called back, so I hung up straight away without saying a word. Then he called a third time but I didn’t pick up. I looked up the number on 1471 and yep, it was the same one.

Got a call from a bloke with a strong accent saying he was Andrew from Home Care Appliances. He was going on about this £7 monthly premium for my telly at my old flat. I said I moved out 4 years ago, and he just brushed it off like it was no big deal. Then I said I don’t pay £7 a month anyway. He told me to check my bank account. I said no thanks, I’m not on any contract. But he kept on, offering to set one up for me! Proper persistent. In the end, I told him he was a scammer and just hung up!

Got a call from a woman who sounded like she was from India, talking about some home care devices. She kept asking about £7 I supposedly owe, but I don’t pay anything like that. Definitely seems like a scam to me.

This morning I got a call even though my number's meant to be ex-directory and on the TPS. The bloke had a strong Indian accent and said he was ringing from Domestic & General about my appliance insurance. How on earth did they get hold of my number? Are these insurance firms passing on our details? I put the phone down to rack up the call charges, and he actually rang me back! I did the same again. Watch out for these dodgy calls!
