I received a call today from someone masquerading as a representative from British Telecom, which immediately set alarm bells ringing. Unlike the usual automated messages, it was an actual human, and I could smell the nonsense coming a mile off-something about my broadband being disconnected. The audacity of randomly contacting folks, many of whom aren’t even BT customers, is mind-boggling! It’s quite evident this is a scam, potentially quite harmful, so I simply either hang up or confront them, accusing them of being fraudulent.
