Some bloke rang me saying he was from PayPal, claiming a Jonathan from Manchester was attempting to spend £96 from my account. Got proper annoyed when I refused to hand over any of my details.

They rang my private number (which I’ve used for my business) asking about my website and marketing. I told the guy (with an Indian accent) I’m happy with my current site and then just ended the call. This is why telesales never work anymore, cos of all the scam calls all the time.

Got a call on my work mobile from someone who mustve found my number on Google business or something. My business is pretty new so I reckon they thought I didnt know much. Some indian guy telling me my business wasnt doing well and trying to get me to visit a site and give card details. I just ended the call straight away.

Some woman called saying my company couldn’t be found on Google and that my website was rubbish. Complete nonsense and she just wouldn’t take no for an answer. I asked her why I’d deal with someone who wasn’t even listening to me! Then she went on about reporting me to the TPS and hung up.

Got a robo call claiming to be from Sky Protect, saying they wanted to talk about an accident I'd supposedly been in. Then the automated voice connected me to someone. When they started asking for info about the crash, I just quoted bits from Bat Out Of Hell. They just ended the call straight away.

Had a really irritating woman on the phone telling me my website was rubbish and needed a makeover. I told her I could handle it myself since I'd been a web developer for 15 years before starting my own business. Got a call saying I had ‘no keywords’ at the ‘back end’ of my website domain. I told them that my domain is 301 redirected via .htaccess and having ‘keywords in the back end’ is rubbish ‘cause that’s not how proper SEO or online marketing works. I explained it a bit more. The caller suddenly went silent and then just hung up. They phoned again a few minutes later but didn’t say anything, all I heard was the usual office chatter in the background. Not sure if it was just a bad sales pitch or maybe some sort of creepy harassment call.
