Got a call from someone claiming to be my bank, saying there were weird charges on my account. They sent me a code to "verify" and stop the fraud, but using that code, they managed to buy about £2,000 worth of stuff from Currys online. Total scam.

Somebody rang me saying they’d got my info from Tesco’s share list or something like that, which might be legit. They asked me to verify my details, but I didn’t give anything away. Then they said someone would contact me about some investment chance and cut off before I could even say no thanks. I’ve since blocked the number using 1572.

This bloke with a really strong English accent rang me and was all pushy, asking straight away for me by my first name. I asked if he was some mate of mine to be so familiar, which totally threw him off. Then he started jabbering away in a rush, not making much sense. I just told him to buzz off and find someone else to try his dodgy scam on!

I got a call from 02071937078 earlier, some guy saying he was from a "Share Management Company". His accent was Asian but sounded a bit British. He asked if I could confirm any share ownership I had. When he mentioned the call might be recorded for training, I didn’t hold back and told him what I thought. He just ended the call straight away. I’ve since blocked that number, don’t wanna hear from them again.

Dodgy call. Got an automated message saying I'd done something dodgy with my taxes. It told me to press 1 to chat with HMRC. Then I ended up talking to some bloke who was really rude and shouting, saying I’d purposely messed up my PAYE tax and now owed them thousands. Said the cops would be at my place in half an hour. He knew my name and address but wouldn’t say who he was or what company he worked for. Didn’t let me ask for a manager either. I just hung up straight away.

I recently received a call from a company that goes by the name Market Worth Trading. They seemed keen to verify my details-specifically my name, address, and phone number. I got a call from this bloke with an accent from the subcontinent, mentioned something about shares I supposedly own. He was rambling on about some new European rules that might impact my shares. Didn’t really make much sense, and he didn’t ask for any personal details, which I wasn’t going to hand over to some random cold call anyway.

I received a call from 02071937078 inquiring about my late partner, who has been gone for nearly a decade now. It’s astonishing how they manage to dig up such outdated information! Thankfully, the caller was at least courteous enough to apologise for the mix-up.

some bloke with an asian accent called saying he was from mwt trading. clearly they’ve been digging through share registers to find names and addresses of company shareholders. they’re cold calling people which makes it dodgy and probably illegal. best to avoid giving them any info at all. i’d say just hang up straight away and block their number so they can’t bother you again. total scam, watch out!

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent asking for my husband. I told him he wasn't here and he said he'd ring back later. My husband owns shares and has already been warned about dodgy calls regarding them. After seeing all the comments, it's clear what this call was about. I've blocked the number now.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent who actually said my name and knew where I live. Mentioned something about shares I supposedly own. When I asked more, he said he was from MUT. I didn't tell him anything new, just stuff he already seemed to know. After checking the reviews here, I've decided to block the number now.

Got a call from this number by a bloke who said his name was Jeremy, sounded like he had an Asian-American accent. He claimed to be from some market work trading company and was trying to get my permission to talk about selling my shares. When I asked him where he was located, suddenly he said he couldn’t hear me and kept going “hello, hello” before hanging up on me. Watch out, it’s a scam.

This guy was a foreign guy who probably found my number from some UK company’s share register or something. Didn’t even give him a chance to try any dodgy stuff, just went straight to blocking him. No time for scams like that.

I received a call earlier today, 21st July 2016, from someone who addressed me by my full name. They were attempting to schedule an appointment regarding Lloyds shares. The person on the line was a woman with a noticeable foreign accent. I informed her that I wasn't interested, and the conversation came to a swift end.

Received a call from this number earlier today, keen to discuss my HSBC shares. Funny thing is, they seemed unaware that I got rid of them three years back!

I received a rather peculiar call from someone who seemed to know all about my investments in Sainsbury's. Quite taken aback by their knowledge, I simply stated I wasn't keen on engaging and hung up the phone. Only a week prior, I had another unexpected call regarding my shares in Lloyds Bank. Quite frankly, I find it all rather unsettling!

Got a call from some place called "gl solutions" where they asked for me by name. They said one of their advisors wanted to speak about "my shares in x00 firm." I tried to sort it out but told them I don’t actually own any shares there. Bit odd really.

I received an unsolicited phone call today from someone who knew my name and was trying to set up a time for an adviser to discuss alterations concerning my shares in a specific firm. The amusing part? I don't own any shares in that company at all! The individual claimed to be from "GL Solutions." Quite the curious situation!
