I got a rather suspicious call yesterday, and it happened a total of eight times! They claimed to be from McAfee, supposedly regarding an issue with my computer. However, the number they called from didn't match up at all, and they wanted me to pay £399 for a three-year contract. Just as I was about to share my card details, something didn’t sit right with me, so I decided to reach out to my bank instead. Definitely sounds dodgy!

Every now and then I do answer and have a bit of fun giving them a piece of my mind, which can be quite entertaining. Somebody rang me up saying I’d been in an accident and started asking for my personal info. Felt like a total scam to me.

Loads of scam bots just ignore calls, nothing gets through.

Leanne Hamilton got in touch, and when I asked what accident she was referring to, she quickly handed me over to someone claiming to be a supervisor. I then asked for the exact date of the accident, but she said she needed to check and would ring me back. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.
