Got a call saying it was from Royal Mail about a parcel. When I asked for the address, she wouldn’t tell me. I told her I wasn’t buying it, and she just went, “Fine, whatever,” and then slammed the phone down. Proper dodgy if you ask me.

I asked if I could just pop down to the depot to collect it but she didn’t answer and there was just silence, so I ended the call.

On 1st February 2022, around 12:23pm, I got a call from this number. A lady claimed there was a parcel waiting for me at a local Royal Mail depot and asked if I wanted the collection info. Earlier today, I got a call from a lady saying she was from Royal Mail. She told me there was a parcel waiting for me and gave me the option to either collect it from a local depot or pay £1.50 for next-day delivery. Since I was already close to the depot, I thought I’d go pick it up. When I got there, the staff let me know they get loads of scams like this all the time. I fell for it at first. Lesson learnt - be careful and don’t trust calls without a proper caller ID!

I wasn’t about to just pay without knowing who sent it, but they kept saying they couldn’t tell me anything about the parcel unless I paid up first. Then they asked for my email to send me some instructions, which made me more suspicious. After I said no a couple times, they just ended the call. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.
