02071933770 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 02071933770 👆 is reported as a persistent scam involving calls from a UK number where the caller, often with an Indian accent, attempts to confirm the recipient’s full name. The caller may pose as a legal or official representative and seeks a “yes” response, which can be misused to authorize fraudulent charges. Many have experienced abrupt hang-ups after confirming their identity, while others report the caller disengaging when pressed for details. The calls are frequently received on work phones, causing concern over personal data misuse. Recipients are strongly advised not to respond affirmatively or share any personal information and to consider blocking the number. This pattern suggests attempts to exploit voice confirmation for financial scams or identity theft.

This number just rang on my work phone. A guy spoke with a strong Indian accent. Foolishly, I told him my name since it’s my job line and I usually just answer straight away. I don't always know who’s calling, so I should probably be more careful about which calls I take and which I let go to voicemail. From now on, any call beginning with 44 on this phone won’t be answered by me again.

I just had a call from this number on my office phone. The guy on the other end spoke with a strong Indian accent. I foolishly ended up giving him my name since it’s my work line and I usually get loads of calls from random numbers. Proper annoying!

Got a call from someone who was fishing for details to charge my credit card. Definitely sounded like a scam trying to steal info.

Some bloke called 'Jonathan from the law firm' rang up and chatted to my missus first. He wanted to speak to me by name, so she passed me the phone. When he asked if I was the person he was looking for, I just said yes without thinking. Now I feel like a bit of an idiot. Wish there was something I could do about it.

I’m getting these calls too!! It’s like someone’s got hold of phone numbers along with our full names... really creepy stuff.

Just happened to me too. I picked up and they already had my full name, asked if I was the person they were looking for, I said yeah and then they just ended the call.

This number rang me at my job a few times, and they knew both my first and last name which was a bit creepy. Every time we spoke, maybe three times in total during the call, they kept trying to get me to say “YES” but I never did. I kept asking who was on the line and what they wanted, but as soon as I questioned them, they just ended the call. Now I’ve put a block on this number through our office phone. Seriously, don’t just say “YES” to any calls from unknown numbers like this!

Got a phone call from this number while I was at work. They wanted to speak to me by my full name. My colleague told them I wasn’t around and offered to take a message, but we just ended the call after that.

This number just rang me up, and the chat was pretty much identical. The person asked for my name, already had my surname though. I kinda said "yes" without thinking (I know I shouldn’t have), then he murmured something I couldn’t make out and ended the call.

They keep ringin all the bloody time! The bloke on the other side sounds kinda Indian and asks for someone who definitely doesn't live here. When we say it's the wrong number, he just gets proper angry and drops the call. We even tried pretending to be the person he wanted, but he didn't buy it and just shouted "Go to hell" before hanging up. So annoying!

This number has called me a couple times on my work line today. I ended the calls before they could leave any voicemail. After reading the comments here, I’m not gonna say yes, no, or anything at all. Cheers for the heads up!

Got a ring from this number earlier - seemed a bit dodgy, like one of those scams.

Got a call from the same number, and the guy on the other end asked for both my first and last name. After I confirmed, he asked how I was doing, and when I replied, he repeated the question like he was double checking me, then just dropped the call. Definitely someone fishing for personal details to connect with a business account - total scam. The caller had an Indian accent too.

So I got a call on my work phone earlier, some bloke with an accent asked if I was [my name]. I said yes and then, out of nowhere, the call just cut off. Strange behaviour if you ask me.

Just got a call on my work phone from this number around 11:50am PDT. The person knew both my first and last name, asking if I was xxxx, yyyy. They then proceeded with some odd questions like "how are you?" and "what are you up to?" It felt really unsettling. The voice was an older bloke, sounded like he had an Indian accent or something similar. When I asked if the call was about any services related to my job, he avoided giving a straight answer. Then I asked if there was something else he wanted. His reply? "You." I told him that was totally not acceptable and ended the call right there.

Me and my colleague both got a call from this number on our work phones, just a few minutes apart, but we just ignored it since it wasn’t a number we knew. When I searched it up afterwards, turns out it’s one of those dodgy calls where they try to get you to say “yes” by asking you to confirm your full name, so they can use that voice recording for sneaky stuff.

Today, got a ring from this number while I was at work. The bloke asked if I was someone with that first name - he got that part correct, but my surname’s changed since I got married. I got a bit annoyed and demanded to know who he was. He claimed to be Dr Jones and then just dropped the call. Strange one!

On 3rd May 2017, I got a call on my work extension from this number. A guy with an Indian-sounding accent asked if I was the person by my full name. I said yes. He then asked how I was, and I said I was alright. When I asked how he was, he said he was fine and thanked me for asking, then just ended the call. Quite random really.

Today, I got a call at work from this number. They asked straight for me by my full name, but the moment I confirmed it was me, they just cut the call. So weird!

Just got a call from 442071933770, they asked for me using my full name. The line was really patchy and then they said they’d ring back, but never did. Strange!

Got a call at my office from this number, and the person actually used my full name. I said yes to confirm, but then they just dropped the call. I’ve read about these scams where saying yes gets used to scam you later by charging stuff on your credit or phone bill. Has anyone else had this happen and found weird charges afterwards?

I reckon this is one of those dodgy calls trying to catch you out by getting you to say YES. Once you do, they record it and claim you agreed to pay for some service or other, then start billing you for it. Sneaky way to trap folks into paying without realising what they’ve done!

I just received a call from 442071933770, and the caller was asking whether this was a personal or work number. I tried to find out who they were and if I recognised them, but they kept pressing me to say if it was an office line or my own phone. In the end, I just ended the call. Sounds like what others have mentioned - the person spoke with an Indian accent, which I'm quite used to hearing.

Got a call on my work phone from 442071933770, and the bloke knew both my first and last name straight away. I said yes, then he just cut off the call. His English was pretty rough, nearly impossible to follow properly.

Me and my colleague got calls from this same number simultaneously. The people on the other end spoke with Indian accents and were trying to reach someone else who works here. When we told them we couldn't give out any details about that person, they mentioned it was about medical records. We asked for a contact number or email to get back to them, but they just ended the call.

Somebody called me from 442071933770, claiming to be from my band's agent - even knew my name! They said it was about some legal issue, but I've never even set foot in London or done any business there. I looked up that number and saw loads of people complaining that those scammers pretend to be from the IRS. What a load of nonsense! The guy’s English was barely understandable too, like they think we’re all thick or something, took the mickey for sure.
